Nobody is going to change Tumbles opinion.

Just a tip..

No matter how much you argue with him.

- bixll

I just had a meeting with our European representative. He's ready to have a few rounds with Mr. Tumbleman shortly.

That statement, if true, only proves that there are more than two biological genders, the end.
- The Law

Biological terms refer to sexes, gender is not a biological term.

Because a debate on gender analysis really is all that's missing from this place these days.

Yes, please do tell that to Voltaire and Tumbles.

Also true about Voltaire ...he was anti-Semitic, taught that blacks were of a different humanity than whites ...and had a rather liberal view of sexuality for his time (somewhat counter to the original point).

Surprised none of the usual suspects are fighting for King Dubas in the GM Battle thread.

I stayed away from that one. My guess is that it is a poop hurricane of pointlessness.

A very interesting study given his time and place in history.

Advanced or enlightened in so many ways but in hindsight predictably influenced by the norms and unknowns of his time.

Loved me some David Hume back in the day too.

No but it makes him perhaps an odd choice to quote. And frankly given our discussions that quote in reply to me seems a poor choice, no?

Lots of hard left and hard right around here. I try pretty hard to be a moderate and avoid bias. And I preface biased comments with saying I'm biased - usually. And the reason I do is so I can't be accused of being a puppet or whatever you inferred.

A debate has broken out on a hockey website about whether or not Voltaire is relevant to the 2020 US election.

I miss the days when I would get the Hockey News once a week in my parents' mailbox.

Just when you think this thread could not go any lower.

Sooooo hockey.

Ryan Pulock at 5 x 2 can't make the Isles fans happy. Walks him straight to UFA in 18 months.

TB with crickets on their Cap issues ...

NBA players expected to agree to Dec 22 start date - December 1 for training camps. Does that trigger the NHL planning?

Ok, as long as I'm a puppet that accepts the fluidity of gender and sexuality then I'm good.

(frank) Voltaire. Trump’s going full Rasputin. I raised this 6 weeks ago. He’s going to try to get Republican state legislatures to ignore the votes no matter how they turn out and appoint Trump loyalists directly to the Electoral College.

I would love to see a breakdown of NBA ownership vs. NHL ownership.

I know I'm the resident pessimist here, but I don't see a lot of NHL owners wanting to start the season earlier.

If you are going to lose money every game, 48 games sounds about right.
