Are you seriously comparing Bobby Kennedy to Kushner?
Sadly, knowing you about non-Hockey stuff, you probably are. So:
1. Bobby Kennedy was not just qualified, he was extremely qualified.
2. Before the Cuban Missile Crisis, he was a government lawyer for 12 years, who worked in high positions in the Senate. He is featured prominently in the Irishman, Scorsese's flick about Hoffa (good movie btw). He served as Lead Counsel of the Senate Committee.
3. At the time of the Crisis, he had already served 2 years as US Attorney General. He was a member of the Cabinet.
4. So, Bobby Kennedy advising about the Cuban Crisis is like Pompeo advising about anything domestic.
5. In my original statement, I said the sole qualification should not be being a relative, and this was unprecedented. Bobby Kennedy was qualified on his own merit.
Imagine, just imagine, if a CEO had as his close advisor a son-in-law who had never held a position in the company board. |

It’s the same 4-5 people. One guy has been on here for over 24 hours giving his 2 cents on everybody that has a opinion . Brutal and sad at the same time. - Angus4444
Its actually kinder then you think.
For example, when I commented on you staying away from Fox, and your response was that you have not owned a tv in 10 years.
I never followed up asking how you watched the Flyers then, and whatever way you watched, you could also see surely Fox News that way.
See?!

LMAO, are you seriously forgetting the question that you posed? It wasn't that long ago. I'll remind you of it. Seems as though you aren't looking at things logically. Copied and pasted from your post
"Name me one US government before this, R or D, that had relatives running or being influential in government policy."
By the work that Kushner has done with the Middle east as well as the outstanding work that Kushner did on the corona virus task force, he is obviously immensely qualified.
Your post above is just typical PT21 nonsense when he is proven wrong and now will try and spin out of it.
I would think that you would know that whether you respond directly or indirectly to me, you are still responding.
My offer still stands. Take your nonsense to the Misc thread forum and I will meet you there in debate. It will not go well for you. |

Obviously, I have no objection if a person is qualified and happens to be a close family member. HW appointing Jeb, or Hillary (if she had won) appointing Bill. I said quite clearly that family connections should not be the sole criteria for appointments.
Kushner had 0 experience working on anything he addressed - in government or in private life.
It was the general mindset that you can just 'wing it' that characterized Trump's entire regime. |

Trump built one of the best economy's in the history of the country. Record low unemployment. Record employment for minorities. Salaries grew. The US became energy independent. Confirmed hundreds of strong conservative judges as well as 3 supreme court judges. The list of accomplishments goes on and on. Saying he was just winging it is infinitely asinine. With every post you show your bias and complete ignorance. His Presidency was a huge success. The only reason this election was not a landslide win for re-election for Trump is because of Covid.

I'm amazed at how an academic scholar can embarrass himself to this level. Didn't think it was possible. If you actually know the facts, know the evidence, there is no possible way that any legitimate news outlet could keep that story out of the news. Yet those same news outlet kept pedaling the Trump colluding with Russia story for almost two years, which was a complete hoax, with no evidence whatsoever. And you ask if anyone should question the editorial decision and mainstream media? Can't make it up. - MJL
Loved the NY Post story everywhere today about the mailman who stole a truck worth of mail in ballots and try to dump them in Canada. (Turned out it was some mailman who took a wrong turn and his truck full of mail contains a total of three mail in ballots.)
