I picked all the top vote getters except for Parent, I picked Carter Hart. I agree that Parent was the most accomplished Flyers goalie in franchise history, but I looked at a little differently. I asked myself which goalie in the list could be successful in every Flyers era of hockey. Parent was small, as most goalies were in those days, and thus would have been toast in today's game. Hart on the other hand would be successful in any Flyers era, so I picked him. |

Absolutely - Bobby Clarke was a much better player during his era. But a lot of young people on this site never got to witness him play. - Dave21Brown
You have to be 50+ to have seen Clarke in his prime. Clarke retried still a productive player. A year removed from a PPG+ guy. Only 33 when he retired.
Hell you have to be 32-35 to have seen Lindros prime in Philadelphia. |

In that event, it goes to House of Reps, where each state gets one vote*. Vote in each state goes to the party that has a majority of the congressional seats from that state.
(*This is in spite of the fact that 20% of the states have 80% of the population)
Currently, R's have majority of states, so would re-elect Trump.
For VP, Senate select it by simple majority. If R's retain senate, it will be Pence. Else it will be Trump-Harris.
As for Pelosi, her days are numbered. This election was a disaster for Dems at the congressional level.

Hey we agree on something. Absolutely makes sense to have headache boy over the guy. Who 2 cups, who’s your all time points leader, and one one of the all time greatest leaders in the game. Said nobody ever. Anyone that said lindros over Clarke is just dumb - SMS4016

I’m with you on the goalies. I felt weird voting for Hart since he has such a short resume, but really who’d you rather have as your goaltender today; Hart or Pelle?

Well, you put those yuck emojis for President Pelosi where there is no chance for that happening.
What did you think of the President of the United States, the person who is supposed to execute and embody the laws of the land, who will protect us from those rampaging Antifa mobs, go in front of cameras at 2:20 AM and declare himself President before any agency called him a victor, just like a tinpot dictator from the sort of "poophole country" he so despises?
Certainly has never happened before in US history.
Here is what another dude thought:
"New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), a top ally of President Trump, broke from the president early Wednesday after Trump falsely declared victory at a press conference that came as many states were still counting ballots.
"I talk tonight not as a former governor, but as a former U.S. attorney. There's just no basis to make that argument tonight. There just isn't," said Christie, who previously served as U.S. attorney for New Jersey.
"The argument won't even start in Pennsylvania until tomorrow, or Thursday or Friday," Christie added, referring to reports that Pennsylvania election officials in some of the state's most populous counties had stopped counting ballots for the night."

There's just no way Bobby Clarke should be left off ANY all-Flyers team. |

How about who is the biggest head case?
For me it would be a toss-up between Bryz and Mason.
That said, their overall numbers were a lot better than their state of mind would lead you to believe. |

Id go Barber over JLC and still on the fence on Lindros and Clarke
Barber/JLC for goal scoring alone, sure. But for all round play... I'd take Giroux on the wing on my team. He's a league top 3-5 points of his time. Plus he's good on defense (can play PK), he wins draws... |

I never saw Clarke play but voted for him.
Also who the heck voted Carter or Richards? |

I saw Clarke play, in fact he was my favorite player growing up and why I became a Flyers fan. However I voted for Lindros though I was torn in doing so. The reason I did was putting everything else aside, I gauged Lindros' dominance when healthy vs. Clarke's dominance when healthy, which he mostly was. When I compared the two players this way, Lindros to me was just the more dominant player, who can and did take over games, while Clarke was a better leader and facilitator. For this reason, I picked Lindros. - jd250
Yeah, 88 was more fearsome when healthy, and happy, and not holding out. Sadly, that was the case for only a fraction of his career.
Clarke was durable, dependable and just as productive. That's why I voted for him. |

I had a tough time with choosing a goalie. I loved Bernie and Pelle, but compared to current-day goalies they just aren’t as good. Would little guys like them even get a look these days in the NHL? - Dkos
Bernie was 5-10 (slightly short for today). Pelle 5-9 which seems short. Besides size, I wonder about the training aspect. Time warp Hart back in time to the late 60's... I'm sure he'd beat out Bernie (from a technical training aspect). Yet, a goalie is a goalie. If you brought Bernie and Pelle into the current game, they may be lost a bit. However, if they had today's training, they'd be fine. Talent is talent.

I’d still go with Clarke because at the end of the day, even if he had to kill himself or someone else, Clarke would find a way to win. When it came to doing anything and everything to win a game, series, or Cup, Clarke was on a level that no other Flyer ever reached. - BiggE
This is why I had to vote for Clarke over Lindros. Clarke's unending desire to win was unmatched. The Mark Messier Award would have been the Bob Clarke Award if the idea had arisen 10 years earlier.
Bobby Clarke transformed his identity onto The Flyers team and organization like no player before or since (maybe in any sport). They were his team, and all followed.
Losses hurt him so much, that I think he believes each loss took time off his life. |

It's closer to typical polls we do. The All-Province thing, quite frankly, was a bust and it was also done at a time, mid-NHL "pause" when traffic in general was hard to come by. - bmeltzer
Don't beat yourself up too much about your poll...it's heck of a lot better and more credible than the performance of political polling outfits during this election cycle...yeesh. Thanks for all you do.
