My 6 year old was supposed to begin figure skating this year. I told him if he did a few years of that, he'd most likely become the best skater in his hockey team one day.

Then COVID happened and well... it's all cancelled.

- Scabeh

The key is finding a good coach - be it power skating or figure skating. Definitely easier to find more competent/skilled coaches for the latter.

Having said that, "most likely become the best skater" is a bit of a stretch. There are plenty of factors beyond good technique that are part of the equation.

Hope you're able to find that good coach though! I took figure skating for a couple of years in addition to power skating and I think both made a difference.

Well maybe not the best, you never know, the next Alexis Lafrenière might be a 6 year old living in Brossard.

But every kid I've seen who took skating lessons before going into hockey ended up being pretty damn good players.

Well he's not gonna be the biggest kid so there's a chance.

I just hope he's not soft enough to catch Dubas's eye.

- Scabeh

You have nothing to fear. He won't catch Dubas' eye for another 30 years or so.

Michigan has switched to Bleu in the lead ...

If Trump wins all the states he is leading, he still will not win I think the orange buffoon is out.

- Aetherial

I'd have voted Biden myself. With that said, I just wanted to clarify that don't count the buffoon out yet. It's way closer than anyone would have thought which is CRAZY to me.

I thought it was his election to lose pre-covid. His response and continued idiocy during the year I thought would clearly sink him. So far I am wrong.

Well either way, once again, the poll compagnies can go (frank) themselves.

How can they even continue claiming any credibility moving forward?

They can't.

They got beat the hell up in 2016 and I thought they had learned their lesson.

That's why I was thinking landslide for Biden. Because I didn't think there was any way the Pollsters could be so stupid as to under represent the Trump vote again.

Yet here we are.

I agree with you that there's no way they could but they did.

If I was a non-social media type Trump supporter, I wouldn't tell anybody about it personally. Pollsters or anything. Seems like an unwise position to hold in "polite society" as it were.

Obviously, any sane person wants Trump out of office and in jail.

Having said that, I was watching CNN last night and it was disgusting. They might as well have been wear blue Biden TShirts. The entire narrative was downplaying where Trump was leading and reiterating all the ways the Democrats should win.

The media in the US is as (frank)ed as the rest of the country.

Based on your view, looks like 50% of USA’s population is insane.

The inherent bias of people who respond to polls to begin with, and tbh, I usually fudge any polls I respond to anyway... I would wager that I'm not the only one.

That’s a good way to have him hate hockey in a few years. That’s a ridiculous schedule. Are there not lower level competitive leagues where he can develop skills and enjoy the whole thing b
- Chunga’s Revenge

No

Smaller town of 30k

The other option is house league, which has been painful for years and has done nothing for his development. Having him playing with older kids should pay off eventually.

@realDonaldTrump
Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat run & controlled. Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted. VERY STRANGE, and the “pollsters” got it completely & historically wrong!
