There's nothing there you should take a ban on. Look, when someone diverges that far from your reality, you know you're not going to change their opinion. Whether they are a troll or just simply someone you can't deal with on the same level, there's just no value in debasing yourself to insult them. Why damage yourself or your reputation or give them the privilege of seeing you lose your composure?

It's a hockey site, but at times it's a conversation site. Politics should stay out of it. So should religion. So should any number of other things. They'll creep in, and sometimes you learn that some people have truly divergent opinions that you find abhorrent.
