Like most things political these days, these people that wish to remove body checking are simply using Covid to push their agenda that they've had in their head all along.

This one is WAY out there though and has no logic to it. There are other situations on the ice where players are much closer (faceoff, corners, net battles, etc.). Marking a player in soccer...you're breathing right down their neck. Basketball...is pretty much full "contact" all the time. People are crazy these days about focusing and cancelling ice hockey and I wonder sometimes if it is a socio-economic thing. Why are they picking on hockey families so much! Not ONE family in the OHL would agree to this...not even one. (don't agree...show me ONE).

I truly believe that the simple minds out there that are terrified of a less than .05% risk "pandemic" actually base decisions like this based on the word....CONTACT!!!! OH MY GOD...HE SAID CONTACT. I'll bet that psychologically this is why they're focusing on it.

Non-hockey people need to stop making decisions for hockey people.


If you are a pragmatic person who bases decisions on logic and reason, and not 100% short-term emotion, then please, for the sake of our kids, stop voting Liberal. It's destroying society.

Although technically a professional league...they make peanuts.

They shouldn’t have to risk their health for hockey...it’s not worth it.

The grown ups in the room need to make the right decision and cancel the season...but because of greed and capitalist inspired exploitation...they won’t.

Covid has airborne properties (for a short time apparently) , removing body checking won't help when the other player is breathing down the other player's neck

Doesnt COVID stick to surfaces too? I don't see how they can possibly justify using a communal puck either. Either everyone gets their own puck, or play without a puck!
