I have no clue, Hyman is hot and cold I find. I’m a big fan but it shouldn’t take much to replace him. Somebody who isn’t shy and has a little speed should do. - Garnie
Why not Robertson? He’s aggressive in the boards, should be able to play on top lines and actually convert unlike Zach. I don’t think you need to be big to play that role.

I agree. I think we could find a similar Hyman for trade at a salary then he will ask.
I also really hope he understand his position as Kunitz did in Pitts playing with Crosby. Kunitz knew he was only successful because he "fit" with Crosby and was paid moderately for it.

Bigger than 5’9” 165lbs JMO - Garnie
Why? How much does Gallagher weigh? We’re not asking him to clear the net in front of Freddie. Be on the puck, use your stick. I don’t think you need to be a banger. In fact, when Hyman is effective, he’s there early or he’s taking a good angle rather than just crashing somebody.
Anyway, it is probably a sign of failure if Leafs have to rely on one person to be “the guy”.

He’s 1st to the puck, his 210lbs help him quite a bit I think.
Gallagher’s more like a dog on the bone in front of the net I think....but I haven’t watched him a lot the last year or so.

Hoping Hyman realizes and does the same. - Aaron_85
Joey Anderson may fit he bill. He's supposedly modelled his game after Hyman.
That's because he signed his deal before he hit his peak.
My concern is his age and style of play when he signs. - RogerRoeper
So what should the Habs have done? Traded him? Let him walk after next season?
Just curious, I don’t mind the deal. He’s a top player in the NHL. Sure it might not end well but we have Tavares at $11m and it could very well happen to him too. 🤷🏻♂️
