It's sad, but he's deluded by a con man along with a group of rubes. Thankfully they are the minority, and their numbers dwindle as the fallout of Trump's criminality and incompetence continues.

I guess it can go down as evidence to where one gets his info and perspective, because basically everything I read right about now says trump is in for an absolute pounding.

Let me revise my question. Even at bare minimum if we were to look at only the numbers you just posted, what about trump dropping damn near 10% points in pivotal states like Texas and Ohio, along with other critical states he relied on in 2016 like Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc etc... Has you convinced he has a layup to his next term? Because the drop in popularity across the board seems to be the only thing that's widely accepted... How does that result in confidence on your end?

He is fairly transparent with his models on his site; and that he's not a pollster. He compiles polls and then adjusts the averages using his models.

Based on the methodolgy of his models, i would say that he is too stupid to operate his own website. But he does.

The only reasonable explanation is that he is purposfully putting out misleading numbers.

I would give more credibility to buzztron300's predictions.

The original question still stands... At best ALL forms of polling are showing a significant drop for trump in the majority of battleground states, so where does this slam dunk style optimism for trump come from?

Is the answer that all forms of polling worldwide are embroiled in a controversy of sorts to stuff the numbers against Trump? If that's the case... Save the bandwidth for sure.

Realclearpolitics provides straight averages of recent polls. Doesn't get much more objective than that.

538's models are junk. The logic is there for anyone to assess.
