Bottom line is that they shut all the restaurants and bars and cases are going up in the GTA, and from the ages they are saying it's all young business people. But again they can't shut that down cause they are immune to the Ontario government. - bobbyisno1
I am on your side here.
Not trying to argue either but a lot of businesses are suffering unfairly. |

The government can easily pick on small business, they can't take on the down town Toronto. Lets see them shut the TSX down. |

Yeah it is pretty poopty and I feel your pain.
A lot of people are privileged in this mess compared to others and can be a little self centred.
We have to help eachother out while making some sacrifices to ensure we all are taken care of. |

The entire government is self centered, I have pain, I'll be okay. Being singled out is a problem.
I'm not now, but I was
And every restaurant owner in Toronto is now,
I see no explanation for the increased positive test.
Bars and restaurants are closed, couldn't be that.
Government has to step up and stop blaming the little guy. |

Of coarse you don't, you were the one that told me I should shut it down. And yet no cases here. - bobbyisno1
I did not say that. You have me confused with someone else, sorry. I was (am) quite sympathetic to your situation. It does not mean I have to agree with your statement tonight.

I was sitting there every day, and no cases here, for three months, why can't I be open.
They are sitting there every day and watching the numbers go up knowing it has nothing to do with their business.
What the hell is wrong here? |

My statement is correct, government can't stop big business from staying open. Only small business without the lawyer power. |

Dude, I am not going to argue with you about why you are wrong because this is personal for you.
I also won't cop to something I didn't say, suggest or even imply. I have never had that conversation here with you, or anybody. |

I wouldn't say "nothing to do" but we are going to deal with this for a very long time and at some point we are going to have to keep businesses going that don't contribute an alarming amount to the cases.
Small businesses shouldn't suffer this much I agree.
A lot of people are being self centred towards them. I am not a small businesses owner but I feel your pain for sure. |

I can't speak to your specific situation, but I have no problem believing you. I think the concern is that allowing out of town places to open and closing the places in Toronto will cause everyone to flock to the out of town places, which could just lead to more spread. ... although from what I remember you are quite a ways away |

Aren't you in Sudbury? I thought the plan for the government was to target regional hotspots only - so if you have no cases there, your restaurant shouldn't be affected. Has something changed?
That said, big business have been affected. Obviously most corporate jobs are different. My entire company has been working from home since March, and they're a relatively large US telecom company with a small Canadian presence. My wife works for a large insurance company and they have been working from home since March as well.

That is what he is getting at.
Small businesses are suffering in communities that have low cases and are handling this very well.
Its very wrong and the solution to just shut everyone down is awful. |

Okay, never mind all my self pity. Cause I really need to find a stadium to call out this government, and I could use some help . |
