Ontario is around 850-1000 new cases daily and people are getting more and more worried..
I can't imagine how bad the winter will get.. This 'covid fatigue' nonsense needs to stop. Hopefully, everyone will see the value in wearing a mask, and social distancing

- PatC80

And figure out a mask that covers your chin but not your nose does nothing. I guess mouth breathers figure why cover my nose?

Vitamin D appears to be a factor, and in northern western countries where many, many people are already deficient in vitamin D, this will worsen as sun exposure decreases in winter. Take big doses of supplemental D and get outside friends.

Minus the people having parties with 15 or more people I think we've done a pretty damn good job.(In Canada)

You can't ask people to live in a cave anymore.

- Santo_44

no, I know you can't.. The onus is on people to bring down the numbers. Governments can only do so much and no one wants another shut down

The covid fatigue is what's fueling this uptick. Just because you're tired of being cooped up does not mean it's time to go out. It's just going to lead to more strict lockdowns that will further fuel your covid fatigue. Some people are just so shortsighted, self-centered, or both that they just don't care.

those are the worst... The people walking around with only their mouth covered... Sometimes, I worry that maybe they just don't know how to breathe through their nose?

I do feel bad for the future of this country.. If these younger people don't understand how to breathe.

Pretty bored these days, but trying to use the time on my hands to be productive. I've been doing a lot of reading, which has been great. A lot of the things I've picked up have been books on the markets, which I've learned a lot from. I either wouldn't have had the time to read them or simply would have rather have gone out and done something with friends . I'm still working and just got myself a new stand up desk that has been a real game changer work wise. I missed mine at work and didn't want to spend the money on a new desk if we weren't going to be out of the office too long. Then I dragged my feet and finally pulled the trigger. Now I'm looking at getting the parts to build my own PC, because when I can go back to work it's only going to be 1 or 2 days a week. They can (frank) off.

How's it going for you Bixy? How's your family doing? Last I heard your granddaughter was doing well and her case was such a success that it was labeled as the case of the year, or something along those lines, at the hospital that treated her. I was glad to read that

Yes, That just happened. She is recovering fantastically. Chicago Children's Hospitals featured case of the year. There will be another big interview and story. See PM.

do you remember like 5 years ago when Tom Hanks tested positive for Covid and people were worried for him and his family?

Now, people don't care all that much. I think we are headed toward another shutdown.

I work construction, haven't missed a day over covid or lockdowns. The lock down itself never bothered me. What bothered me was going to work everyday while many got to sit home and watch Netflix all day while getting government cheques (and whining about it)..what was worse was my anxiety id bring covid home to my wife and son who were home quarantined.

There won't be another shutdown. Just nonsensical random closures of restaurants n gyms.

the CERB payments never bothered me.. People were laid off and needed revenue.. I had read that some people tried to take advantage of it, which is rather stupid.

A lot of people needed the assistance to be able to try to keep their head above water.

I am very fortunate that I get to work from home. My daughter does her school online and the wife also is able to work from home.

I hear you man. I really shouldn't be female doging about being stuck at home, where I can keep my family safe and not have that worry. I try to recognize that, but it can be tough. It's not easy waking up, walking to your desk, working until 6pm and then there's really nothing to do. It is what it is. At least I don't have the worry that you do or god forbid what the health care workers have to go through.

The spanish flu lasted two years and that was at a time when people were less selfish.
We knew the 2nd wave was going to be worse, it seems in Ontario we may be at its peak right now.
Its also flu season, so any who has 2 flu symtoms which mirror covid symptoms will go get a test. About 30% of those tested will be asymptomatic but I believe still count as positive.
And plus people are stupid.
A wedding in Vaughn if 100 people has been linked to 44 cases. Dumb pieces of sh!t.

Well, no one was asked to live in a cave.
Just not gather in big numbers, wash you hands, wear a mask, be smart. Too much to ask for some people

Yeah, people who think they made a generational sacrifice because they are running out of shows to watch on Netflix and can't go out for brunch maybe need to stop and reflect on life in a warzone or famine or concentration camp and find some inner resilience.

I hope not.. It would be terrible to go through that again.. Although, admittedly I do not go out to restaurants, or theaters.. I only go out for essential items like food
