No one is more focused on an ailment than the one suffering from it. SMS didn't just provide his personal testimony he gave legitimate support to his conclusion.
Would you have just make up stuff? Have you experienced what he has, have you researched as deeply?
Unlikely.

Would you please restate his conclusion? Thanks.

A few days back, we were talking about whether the Flyer's suffering and years of drought is statistically an outlier. Bill provided some examples and I provided some data that showed that the # of years on average it takes a team to win a cup is 24, and Flyers at 26 are right around average (2 cups in 52 years).

Subsequently, it struck me that this does not really address the issue whether the gap is unusually long. Two teams may have the same # of cups, but one team may have a much longer drought than the other.

S, I dug a bit more. I looked at the largest drought every team has had. But the problem here is that different teams have been around for different # of years. If I simply averaged max droughts, it would be biased in favor of more recent teams.

So, instead, I looked at max drought of a team as a fraction of the # years it has been in existence. For Flyers, it is 46/52=0.87. For Sabres, 50/50=1.

Here, Flyers are in the middle as far as team rank, but this ranking is a little misleading because the worst any team can do is have a score of 1. They are pretty close to that cellar at 0.87.

I support SMS coming on and informing ME as to what NOPA may be facing and has suffered from.
Having dealt with medical issues as a non-medical professional (veterans' claims), when you need to gain insight you go to the library, you talk to the pros. You then formulate how to proceed to accomplish your purposes.
This can be non-personal and tightly focused but you retain the ability to sort through the information, if you have the capacity.
Deriding and disparaging ANYONE for giving you non-contestable information means you are failing to learn.
Screw those nay sayers, SMS, continue to speak truth to these barbarians.
Knowledge is the gate and those dolts will never successfully assault that.
WHich is why they tell you to hit the bricks.
STAY.

What SMS is taking flak for is claiming that the Flyers are lying about Patrick's condition. Not for relating his personal experiences with migraine's.

That's false. He gave nothing to support his conclusion that the Flyers are lying about Patrick's condition. What on earth are you talking about?

You’re entitled to your opinion but SMS and a couple others on here totally derail the forum every single day. No one on here is a doctor, I would rather not hear any poster diagnose this kid when they literally have no idea what he’s going through or where he stands now.

Ah you are still here.

If you feel like reliving the feelings of a hangover without drinking anything (since you are a teetotaler now), just go and peruse the last few pages of yesterday's blog.

Us regular hockey fans really don't need all of this nonsense. We can figure it out without getting out a calculator. Talk about over kill! " So I dug a bit more"

If you are here regularly, and and have not yet become adept (as say me) in quickly skimming pasts posts with Darth Vader warnings associated with them, then you are doomed to a hangover anyway.

I am merely giving you the option to choose a different variety.

So people hate Lindros refusing to play for Quebec when he was drafted by them but over look Blake Wheeler who refused to play for Phoenix?
- SuperSchennBros

The vast majority of fans here don't even know who Wheeler is let alone that he was drafted by the Coyotes.

I'm beginning to think it may be time for this organization to just go away.

I had no idea Kevin Dineen had so many penalty minutes.

As for his off-ice character, Dineen was great. I was just a young pup but I'll never forget him inviting groups to Vorhees for practice. We also had an exchange of letters, even after he had been traded back to Hartford. Just a classy guy. I'm happy that his coaching career is taking off.

Here’s the facts and I challenge anyone to deny them
1) last September team announced nopa was out due to migraines and wasn’t concussion related.

2)sometime I believe around January team announced nopa diagnosed with chronic migraine disorder (gave history of migraines from childhood and family history)

3) sometime right before lockdown team announced nopa probably out for season but progressing and should be back for next season

4) after long break flyers leave for bubble. Team announces lindblom going to bubble after fighting cancer but not nopa. Hints that migraines could be from concussion.

5) team still yet to announce anything about nopa and HOPES he’s back when season starts agin.

The lie by the team is obvious. They would’ve known as bill even stated team gets medical history of draft eligible players. As pt21 stated there’s no reason migraines should be hidden. No stigma and very manageable and not likely to go unnoticed by many examples of people. So the evidence tends to lean no childhood issue. So why state he had childhood issue when diagnosed by doctor? That was stated to cover up that team said originally in September his migraines weren’t concussion related before training camp last season.

Why after lockdown and still nopa with team or going to bubble and hint that migraines might be result of concussions? Well simple to cover the fact that he was diagnosed with chronic migraine disorder but not told as result of concussion and that’s becuase they already lied and said from the beginning it wasn’t concussion related.

Do I have a video tape proof that team conspired ? Obviously no. Like I said before I don’t think they lied maliciously (I hope not ever) but putting 2and 2 together I think it’s obvious they lied and continue to not tell they whole truth. So why would they do this? Well my first thought is liability. If they knowingly or negligently allowed nopa to play with or with possible concussion and he became injured as a result they’d have a big problem on their hands wouldn’t they? The longer nopa out the more worried they’d be and more likely to continue the lie no?

From watching games (even tho some on here say he’s taken no head shots) it’s pretty obvious and people have posted links to hits nopa has taken that it’s pretty plausible and more than likely he’s sustained concussion or concussions with flyers. The pieces add up. It’s sad and hopefully he’s fully recovered. Look how long it took Crosby to get better and he didn’t have a problem after. I hope that for nopa. Sad he went through it but it happens. It’s to go through that than to actually have a lifelong condition of migraines. With all that I’ll put it to rest. Unless he’s not back in January when season starts or it comes out in end he had concussion related symptoms. So back to who’s our 3c next year debates .....

When I said "go away", I meant be dissolved. They were a poop show in Winnipeg and with the exception of 1 year under Tippett, they have been a poop show in AZ. Some things just can't be fixed.

Personally I've kinda got Patrick in the same bucket as Morin. In the sense that I have low hopes of them playing full-ish seasons for the Flyers but it wouldn't be a huge surprise if they did.

So I fell for it this year and got nhl21.

Anyone else? And did you start the be a pro. Love how it’s on the rookie every game every shift. Not through my first season and the coach already lost his message.

Was asked to change the momentum. Had three hits a takeaway, drew a penalty and fought after an injury on one hit. Coach was disappointed.

I usually am a sucker and get these games every year, even though there are very minor changes from year to year. This year I was going to skip it.

Is it any good?

Don't know about that, but Kyle Turris refused to play for Tippett. This would have been a much different team with Turris and Wheeler. I kind of remember one other player refusing to play here, but his name escapes me.

Some of the features are improved. And I have done the same the last few years. Got last years in the spring sale for 10 or so. Better than last years. A i is smarter, skating features and a few new dekes. Besides it’s very similar. But will play the bejesus out of it now that I bought it. If you have xbox ea pass is coming with the game pass. So I would wait until the rosters are set and it’s half price at the new years sale.

Also got it for ps4 last year. Like it better on Xbox.
