Switching gears for a minute. Tony Larussa supposedly has the inside track on the White Sox managerial job because of Reinsdorf's blessing.

Hope that's not the case.

Update:
He's back to coach the Sox again.

You sure this isn't some kind of Weekend at Bernie's thing where he is just propped up in the corner and someone else is doing all the work?

I do not know if there is guidelines for the personal values for players. Not just hockey skills as far as any country goes regarding the selection and usage of players by the National Development Program. They choose the players and coaches

.y complaint is, to see only non pro players in the WJC. Begrudgingly I accept pro players whom are rooki Leo's. Often this occurrence us due to lack of playing time and or la k of enough develo.ent to stay in the players NHL lineup

Dach has a full season under his belt.

Apparently the only value for the sqauds is pure hockey skill. Their may not be consideration for interpersonal skills.growung up skill and development. If there was, Dsch should be omitted and some on pro or very little pro experience kid to be in his stead.

He'll probably bring his old buddy Dave Duncan as pitching coach.

I agree. It is in the player's best interest and the team's best interest if Seabs, DeHaan, Shaw and even Smith are healthy and fit to play in 2021. I am not sure if any of them are movable/tradeable, and if they were we would not get back anything much (or have to add a piece to move them).

Although I'm generally a Stan supporter, the Shaw trade is nearly as bad as the Danault trade without needing a ton of hindsight. What was Stan thinking? You don't roll the dice on this expensive of a gamble, both dollars and draft choice.

How about - he’s a hockey player - hockey players like international tournaments and representing their countries.
- StLBravesFan

I was talking about it from a Hawks perspective. I wasn't advocating he should decline. He is free to do what he wants.

From a Hawks perspective there is no benefit to him playing in it. Just the risk of injury.

Something tells me McD was involved in that too. I'd love to know how many of the "get the band back together trades" were at least partially influenced by McD.

Maybe my choice of words was incorrect but it made more sense than your statement.

What a terrible move. Poor Hahn. Probably had no choice but to hire him.

I saw the rumors earlier about Tony and I just didn't believe it. I guess I was wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

A ->B->C(emetary)?

He’s older than I am.

Oh, well, I guess if our presidential choices are a 74 year old and a 78 year old....

I was ok on the Shaw return at the time. Solid winger coming off a decent season that could slide up and down 1st and 3rd lines and be a net
front presence on the PP. Maybe the core wanted him back, maybe McD for marketing purposes.. In hindsight not a good move but it is what it is.

Although it looks like Dach was a great pick, you just never know, Cozens could end up being the best of the 2019 draft class. We’ll know more in about three years.

I guess there could gave been a worse choice for Sox mansger. At least in wasn't Terry Bevington.

Some expert predictions of Blackhawks prospects for Team USA's WJC selection camp include Vlasic and Commesso.

I would be interested to see how Vlasic shows. I'm hoping that he has progressed and improved on his deficiencies. I'd be happy with a slightly better Tyler Myers.

(frank)ed up a well run rebuild in one move. Can't wait for LaRussa to call Thigpen in from the bullpen.
