What is funny about that is that I spent most of my life in Toronto or later for a few years in Misssissauga, which is by-and-large people who consider themselves Torontonian anyway. Now we go to these parties / get-togethers where the kids go swimming and the adults chat - and everyone is a Ticats fan, and it's sort of jarring. I don't care about football, but contextually I'm not used to anyone saying good things about the Ticats.

Electoral college by and large is just another layer of first past the post on top of first past the post. It exacerbates negative partisanship even moreso than what we have in Canada or the UK as first-past-the-post governments.
