you sound like a very decent manager - Pat1993
I've learned I get better results being brutally honest while trying to respect and not micromanage them. Frankly makes them more likely to be honest with me and if I'm smart enough to listen it works out well |

I know a few douche on my facebook that intend to go. They are convinced they can contest de fines and win.
- Scabeh
I don't think they fully processed what all of that implies in terms of money, time, drama....
Then again, I don't think those meatheads can process much to be honest. |

yeah as much as I love going to the gym I won't go through all that trouble, (frank) that lol - Pat1993

if your gym opens "illegally", would you go? just curious... here in Gatineau the DG of the Sporthèque (which is a pretty big training facility) sounded really pissed about the whole thing and was saying they would still re-open, while Legault yesterday said the law would be applied and fines will be given.
(bump de tantôt ) - Pat1993
It won't and I wouldn't, don't really want a 1400$ fine to do some burpees.
Still think les ptits gros Legault and Arruda are wrong about it and probably won't vote for them (because you know Arruda will run for la CAQ at some point, he just loves the camera too much) even if it means trowing away my vote because there's really no other option. |

justement, tabarnak... and it's not like it was entirely impossible to plan some sort of workout at home, jesus christ.
if I were a gym owner I'd definitely try to put pressure to re-open as an "essential service", but to re-open as a protest and trying to contest a bunch of hefty fines sounds like a terribly dumb idea |

yeah this wasn't 100% clear during the press conference yesterday, but fines would surely be given out to both the owner and the gym members |

I think they tried to make pressure on the government and their bluff was called. I really doubt the majority will open, if any open at all. If you are just a minimum of a business man, you know this is not something that will help your business long term. |

The problem is that since the beginning Legault and Arruda don't want to sit down with sport associations, discuss posibilities, plans or explain their decisions. They just go well that's that, we don't have to explain why, were the governement and if you don't follow our orders you'll get fined.
I think alot of people are getting tired of that attitude.

I had really hoped the CAQ would be different but it's really just a bunch of old liberals ,PQiste and ADQiste doing the same things they have always done. |

the bluff was called indeed, and I think the government's approach is to be "consistent", as they would be afraid that restaurant and bar owners would follow suit

I must say, the lack of transparency is getting annoying.
And if you think it's better when you're working behind the scenes, it's not. Theses decisions just pop out of nowhere.

I think they are confusing a lot of people by giving information little by little. They must have a plan long term, and they need to share that plan with people.
Keeping people's hopes up month by month just gives them a bigger plunge when the doom and gloom happens. Be (frank)ing transparent. |

I can tell you one thing about the plan.
Because I've heard it from a very good source.
The priority?
Christmas.

when my gym reopened in late July, I told them Id lick the floors if I had to.
As an aside, I work in a hospital. During the initial spike, March-May, we had the highest positive patient population in the area. Im exposed to it everyday and have not contracted it. I highly doubt ill contract it at the gym. |

I really think the health care system is so big and slow and behind that they don't have the stats and info to back up their actions so they keep us in the dark on purpose and do what other countries do and hope the overall numbers go down. |
