I agree, it’s brutal. There’s no excuse for being so stupid and insensitive. Just that cancel culture will run with this story and maybe he isn’t a deeply disturbed about to be psychopath monster. Maybe he’s just a kid who made a really terrible mistake, regrets it and is trying to move on. Again, I don’t know, and don’t really care, so I’ll leave it there.

I can see what you're saying, I don't think he deserves to have the rest of his life ruined because of what he did when he was 14, but the fact that people have reached out to the family of the bullied kid since the draft and they have said he never even apologized is a bad sign.

At the very least it should be publicly acknowledged and discussed rather than swept under the rug as the Coyotes have been trying to do.

I'm sure it won't end up being consequential given that he's a 4th rounder and not likely to ever play in the NHL.

He was a 4th round pick, like I can't understand any team wanting to take a chance on him given his past. I know he was 14 but that poop is a sign of deep seated psychological issues that don't just disappear in 4 years.

Ah, ok. Though to be fair, I’m not complaining about anything. I’m laughing at those who are making excuses for a kid who is underperforming currently, and who are also saying things like “his game is more suited to the NHL than the KHL” like they have a freaking clue what that means...

Not taking sides here, but for context this happened when he was 14 so it’s been several years. Perhaps he learned a valuable lesson and has become a better person? Don’t know him, never will, don’t really care, but everyone on here has done something they regret I’ll bet so...

I cringe to think what people would say about the bullying that we were exposed to when I was a teen way back in the early 80s. It was brutal and nobody did poop about it including the schools. It was almost accepted as "kids being kids".

I'm amazed that my kids have never experienced bullying. It's not even on their radar. Not too long ago I had a sit down with them to discuss it and they had no concept of what I was talking about. It makes me happy but also a bit concerned that when they do eventually experience bullying they won't be equipped to deal with it.
