I joined yesterday thinking this was a hockey board. Its become clear to me that its just the chicks that were fighting in the mall that post here. - Blockhead
Beady went full Beady last night. Sometimes, we get hockey. A lot of the times, it's a lot of complaining.

And sometimes football.... lost in the full beady was this one.... Bring me the poe. He played for Carolina ✔️... big space eater in the middle ✔️... make the call bean.
The Cowboys are willing to listen to offers for a trio of newcomers who have not fit in defensively, league sources tell CowboysSI.com, with defensive linemen Everson Griffen and Dontari Poe and cornerback Daryl Worley in the Nov. 3 deadline spotlight.

I wonder what our game plan for Pilut is for the year. - TheSabresTaco
I was pretty excited learning about Pilut when we signed him. He had some decent stretches for us with the big club, mostly with Risto, but doesn't seem to me like he'll ever be an NHL regular. Seems to me he's a career AHL All-Star or he makes more money overseas type of player. He's still fairly young though so I guess time will tell. I wouldn't be heart broken if we let him walk.

He’s a #5 d-man in the NHL.
Definitely capable of playing 15 minutes a night in a depth role.
Would be nice to have him here as he would be relatively cheap for his services

I'm sorta with you here. There's some people who act like salt it being poured into their eye every time Pilut is mentioned. I have yet to understand why.
He's an AHL/KHL all-star. In the NHL, he's great at transition. He's billed as an offensive defenseman that can't provide NHL offense. He's also easily pushed around and is pretty bad without the puck. (Edit: Bad at battles) He has his merits, but he's not this solid, top 4 guy people like to pretend he is. He's an asset, but he needs to be better without the puck, and he needs to be a better scorer, and maybe that can still develop.
The reason he was so good with Risto is because Risto is actually not too bad without the puck. Once he gets it, though, it's a train wreck. That's where Pilut comes in. Gives Risto an outlet to intelligently get rid of it. Which is why you need to wonder why he's bad with Montour. Because Montour is a better version of Pilut.

Pilut was an asset that could have been kept on a one way contract that we bungled and lost to the KHL.
On a team that lacks depth at LHD that’s why most people were upset.
He could have played on the third pair with Risto on a cheap one way deal and that would have been one less hole to fill on the backend.

Because Monte can’t seem to play well on the left. Some players can play their off side. Some can’t.
In Monte’s defense, he was hurt at the start. Ralph flipped him left to right seemingly in game and per shift, as well as not having a steady partner. All of that is certainly a recipe for disaster.
Maybe if Ralph tells him he’s exclusively on the Left, maybe it’s different? But I’m not sure.
Which, while I like Pilut, my want for him at 2LD is simply to not see Monte in that spot.
I am curious if Pilut can be an nhl regular. I like his transition game. But other areas just need work...
If he’s packaged and traded I wouldn’t be upset.
They need to get Olo locked down and then focus on the backend and tendy.
Also, what happens with mittlefat and Pilut, they are also rfa’s. Is it just sign the tendered offer or don’t for them?
He did play for Carolina AFTER bean left, but as soon as bean realizes he DID play for Carolina, he will be here. Can someone just send an email to bean with a picture of Poe in his Carolina jersey?

Yeah if he's used in a deal, so be it. He's not coming back until he's offered top 6 minutes. As of now you've got Risto, Miller, Joker and Irwin on the right and Dahlin, Montour (I guess) and McCabe on the left. You also have Borgen that needs to be shown NHL minutes. Pieces should be moved to get Montour back on the right, then I suppose you get room for a 3rd pairing of Risto and Pilut.
