Sabres at $75m so that would fall right into place
- Michael Pachla

Then they tweak the roster a bit and make a deal or two. D, Hutton, Mitts/other prospect for a goalie and Left D or something.

See what they say

Why didnt sam go to arbitration? His #'s would have surely been better. You sammers are something.

He was about to be ka-boo-hoo-hunned. And ka-boo-hoo-hun would have been signed for much less $ and be close in points given Sam's opportunities. Pp1 /eichel time.

I heard the Sabres were ready to walk on any unfavorable arbitration , not sure which player or players.

Who had sam only making 3 million more next year than girgensons? 🤔

This is a really good deal for everyone involved.

- Boss34

I have no idea, probably the same reason Hall signed a one year deal, but I do know to posit that he signed a deal because they were going to walk away from a guy who scores 23 goals a year is probably the most asinine thing said on this site in a while.

The 24-year-old has topped 20 goals in four of his five seasons. Since 2015, Reinhart ranks as a bona fide top-line player. He’s 63rd in points and 66th in goals and assists among forwards. His neighbors in the goal column are Dylan Larkin and Nikolaj Ehlers. He shares assist space with Gabriel Landeskog and Filip Forsberg. Similar point producers include Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Bo Horvat.

Reinhart will make less than all of them, with the Sabres getting the boost of signing him at a lower percentage of the cap at the time of the deals.

But he won't sign my niece's hat AND he doesn't punch people, so (frank) him.

I'll get chewed alive around here, but they were gonna walk if arbitration was too much. Sam would be a ufa in a sea full of other ufa non stars. Probably settle for alot less than 5.2 .

That being said, it's a great deal for the Sabres. Write him in for 65 points with eichel. It's been proven.

Try him at 2rw - see what he really Is without eichel. Maybe sign him for less next year?

Wonder how many goals he would have had on a line with Larsson and okposo?

- Boss34

I think they would have sucked it up for a year and paid him what he got in arbitration.

You think Sam would only get 5+ in Buffalo? I think if he was awarded something ghastly it would have hurt his trade value though. I don't think he was all that worried about staying in Buffalo I think he is thinking about staying marketable priced wise.

I hate to say it but if trump is not re-elected they might be forced to sell. Considering fracking will be eliminated and new natural gas pipeline construction will end. In no way shape or form is this a ploy for votes. I dont care about either guy.

He's worth some $4 billion, right. Why is he diving back into that?

10-6 wins the division imo, which means going 5-4 from here. A win against washed up Cam next week essentially ends the division race

I don't know, Miami is better than the Pats. We'll have to see how Tua does.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he started another group in the natural gas field. I might be wrong but I'm pretty certain he's still involved.

I don't think he's worth that anymore, most of his money is tied up in the bills and sabres etc... I mean hes doesn't have 4 billion in liquid assets.

He still owns companies in Colorado and Wyoming and still has rights in Pennsylvania I believe.

One thing I do like about these one year contracts is, I think, it will give them some flexibility at the expansion draft... I think...

Edit: there are still 2 rfas not signed outside of olo... what do you do with or how do you sign mittlefatty and Pilut? I’m guessing they don’t have arbitration rights. So do they just have to sign there tender or not...

At a tiny fraction of what he used to own. He sold out to Shell, IIRC.

This. Also, the oil industry has been destroyed over the last couple of years even if tpegs was still in it.

Look it up, it was a buffalo news article. Either way he seems to be fine at the moment financially. I was just speculating, this is the first I've heard of a possible new sabres ownership.
