That actually doesn't look to shabby Pegs, I was thinking Hall and Olofsson switching but that's not bad.

I just dont see him being an NHL center ...... unless he magically comes back to the sabres 1 or 2 steps faster.

I get everyone will say " they tried it for 5 minutes (maybe a game or 2) and gave up"

I just dont like his speed at the position. Reminds me of Strome or Derek Stepan.

Hall said in his interview on the instigators that he's never played RW. He said he's played more center in the NHL than RW

He’s on jacks left wing. No doubt. He didn’t sign here to play on Eric staals line

1 year 5.2 for Reinhart.
- ImThatGuy

Good deal for Sabres.
Leads me to believe he gets dealt at some point...
2021 Offseason, is going to be crazy..
- Hall
- Reinhart
- Dahlin
- Joker
- Staal?

Yes it is Pach's, wouldn't be surprised if you see the other 2 signed shortly know that Rhino is out of the way.

One would think. Right?

Wow ion s. - paying sam an extra half million than necessary?

They could have given girgensons extra $

- Boss34

More than the extra $800k they did for 3 more years?
I could see it though for sure.

Edit, at 19 points, Sam is 2.7x the points producer... $2.2m x 2.7 = $5.94m equivalent.
Yup, they over paid Girgs who is abysmal on the PK, one of the worst in the league...AND gave him 3 years.

Take away that complete blunder and the Sabres have had a decent offseason to date...now just rationalize the 2RhD and use them to round out the holes!

Eichel and Skinner are already locked up.

Dahlin would be next on my list of importance.

Hall would then be after if the one year trial run is a success.

I think there is definitely a possibility Reinhart and Olofsson can be packaged in a deal next offseason for either a long term 2C, a top 2 d-man, or another top 6 winger on a friendly contract with term.

That’s a good deal for both parties
It gives lots of flexible options long term

In all fairness, I did say it was a possibility not necessarily an assumption.

There is definitely a possibility we get Sam locked up at a favourable deal that makes everything work next year as well.

Im not sure about the likelihood of Olofsson remaining here long term though if we are able to extend Hall.

We'll see. I'm still focused on this season. About 9m in cap space with 3 roster spots to fill. Olofsson, Ullmark and...?

Is that $9m figure inclusive of the $1.5m cap penalty?
