one of the reasons why nobody on Tampa will ever want to waive their NMC/NTC is the no state income tax of Florida.

You are asking the player to take a paycut by waiving it and accepting a trade to most other teams in the league

Agreed. I wouldn't waive it for exactly the reason you stated - you took less to stay here, now get out. LOL.

Exactly!

When what you’re essentially asking is:

“Hey, wanna go play for a worse team and make less money doing it”

That’s not an easy sell

ya he is so good that NO TEAM took him when TBL placed him on waivers....TBL is going to have to pay to move Killorn, TJ McDonough.

Come on man, you know damn well the reason he wasn’t taken is 100% based on nobody wanting to pick up all that salary and basically bailing out the bolts.......especially when teams know that for the price of basically a 4th or 5th rd pick, they can prob get the bolts to eat a good portion of that deal. It’s all about cap and nothing to do with ability.

If TJ had that much value, someone would have claimed him. Based on your comments, it sounds like you should keep him. He won't raise the bar very much here in Detroit, so.....no thank you.

TJ is the perfect player to expose in the Seattle expansion draft, he's from Washington. The problem here is the obvious gap year before the draft. If the expansion draft was happening for the 20-21 season, Tampa just makes a deal with Seattle to take TJ.

With this one year gap, who wants to take TJ and the headache of making sure Seattle takes him. The team that takes TJ may have to give minimal assets now, but when it comes to the expansion draft that team may have to give up larger assets to make sure Seattle takes TJ.
