Did that twice already. Good thing I've learned from my mistakes and keep it private now (I've also PM'ed you).

If you find yourself in the area where they're located, Donnie's Donuts makes great cake doughnuts. Always fresh.

For brand-name (chain) store donuts, Krispy Kreme (yeast style) is what I usually get. Best fresh from one of their stores (when the red "Hot Now" neon light goes on) but down here all the supermarkets sell them already boxed in the whole/half dozen. Either the kreme-filed or raspberry-filled glazed, the classic glazed, and sometimes the glazed sour cream donuts are my favorites. I know they have a presence in Canada. Do they also sell them in groceries there?

OK... nevermind!

Sadly...very sadly...there is no Krispy Kreme anywhere near me anymore. Probably good for me but I'll still miss them

Are there any in Canada these days? I remember one in Mississauga that was big in the day and I think they died in the mid-00's.

Haven't seen one in forever. I remember all the hockey fundraisers before they had Canadian stores where people would sell boxes of them missing the point that they're best when hot and fresh not a week and a half old

There was a guy who would bring day old Timmies coffee growlers to hockey from his work...what a (frank)ing tit.

True, but even after a couple of days they're still pretty damn good once you just give them a quick zap in the microwave. Keep them in a sealed container to keep them from drying out helps a lot.

Maybe he thought it was like fine wine and get better with age. After tasting it fresh he probably thought "can't taste any worse, maybe age will convert the cigarette flavour to cigar. Fancy"
