Yes you can

I think they signed him because he needs to be signed to a contract to be able to invite him to preseason camp, no?

Don't think so. NCAA players have to sign to go to camp but can't go back to the NCAA in that case. Could be wrong

NCAA players can't attend NHL camps. For one, because usually school has already started when it happens.

Secondly, they could attend, but they cannot get any salary, have to pay for their own expenses, and can't spend more than 48 hours. There is an exception for development camps during the summer.

No, no necessarily. Usually teams sign their 1st round pick, this way the player can have access to his signing bonus right away. Like a tap on the back mainly.

Junior players can attend the training camp even without a contract, and professional players on an invite get a professional try-out contract.

Also, he's a great pick.

He didn't make it on the Scabeh's wishlist for nothing.

He wasn't the guy I decided I wanted after watching a few highlights and reading other people's opinions. Why didn't they draft the guy I wanted but barely even heard of a month before the draft. (frank)ing Timmins

I think they can go to camp, as long as the NHL team does not pay for anything (I think including stuff such as travel, accommodations, etc...).

Some strange NCAA rules.

But they can go to camp.

Jumped on the bathroom counter, saw my reflection in the mirror.

Yep, I'm still handsome ... time for a nap.

I haven't seen him play but there's a question mark on how much he can contribute offensively at the NHL level. Might be a Luke Scheen, might be a Ben Chiarot but likely won't be a Sergachev
