Last year, 68 games, 63 points.

20 goals, 47 points at even strength.

I don't ever watch Jets games, but that seems like he's more than a PP specialist, no?

Hell, he's 72nd in the league in PPP.

He's good. Great scorer. Top tier shooting talent. AND he did take some steps to be less of a liability in his own end this year as well.

Problem is he wants top line minutes and the Jets won't do that because, well, because Wheeler won't play anywhere other than Scheifele's wing.

Teams aren't offering much because they know they're going to have to sign his next contract, which will likely be massive, and it's hard to fit that in under the current market.

Never really noticed before, but Chris Christie and Luca Brasi look very similar.

Wheeler is getting a little long in the tooth and may need to be wheeled out of the lineup soon..

What do you think we can get for Kerfoot, lilibust and a non-first round draft pick?

I still don’t think Kerfoot would fit in with what they are trying to do with the bottom 6.

Either of them would be awesome but I somehow doubt Kerfoot, a prospect and a pick would be enough. They are kind of workhorses.

Even if we can, can we get them squeeze under the cap? Someone else will have to be shipped out.

Kerfoot, Liljegren, and a pick would be an overpayment for either.

Dubas should've asked for a 3rd also and pulled it off.

I think he's going to do the AM thing and do 5 so he'll be 28 when he hits FA. probably gets a raise to 8.5 from where he's at now.

Hmm. In retrospect dubas should have gone for it. Dermott’s development has been a bit of disappointment of late.

Sure is, but he and Scheifele have told Maurice they won't split up, so his hands are kind of tied.

I dunno. I don't think they have a good mix of personalities in Winnipeg. There's a reason they lost Trouba, and now will be losing Laine. Not to mention Kane wanting out and Byfuglien just straight up quitting hockey entirely.

I think he didn't, because no one knows how Weegar's arbitration hearing will go..

I think he's second to last for those.
so, still a little bit time before we find out.

Yeah, I could see why Dubas would be a bit hesitant.. Maybe after his hearing, the Leafs trade for him....
