I liked what he did. I think he was too generous here and there with his contracts (mostly Anderson, but Toffoli and Allen for me as well), but that's nothing new for Bergevin.

But yeah, overall I think the fans should be happy.

As long as Suzuki doesn't have the sophomore jinx, I think things should go well.

He had all the leverage. It was a 1 year deal to take him to UFA or long term. Columbus had the upper hand on his last deal and he stuck to his guns. A risk, but i think it's a good risk. He'll have his best years with the HABS

I pretty much get his point after what they offered Anderson. All that after a 26 games, 4 points season.

Gallagher scores 30 every year and always give his full effort to the team.

Given what Bergevin offered others players, he should have no problem giving him 7 or 8 years and around 6,5M per. He is still the best RW on tihis team. Period.
