Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg are usually the top three teams on everyone's no-trade list.

Vancouver is a world-class city with a bunch of international flavour and culture. Calgary has a nice pedestrian bridge and a giant blue ring.

- Hunkulese

Vancouver is a giant poop hole just like Edmonton. Calgary other than being the home of the Flames is not bad and Winnipeg is Winnipeg

That's the point. We're talking about the super-rich. If we're talking about people who actually have to pay attention to their bank accounts, it's an entirely different conversation.

And I've never lived there, but most of my family does or lives on the Island.

- Hunkulese

The island is a completely different reality and world!

We got lucky getting Nate.

Calgary used their cap and got Marky and Tanev because of better cap management.

With word that Gallagher and the Habs are contractually at odds I wonder what a potential dea with them looks like from the Flames standpoint. Would love it if they could get this guy.

He’s definitely a warrior and would look great with Sammy Doobie. How much $ is he looking for?

Well he’s making 3.75 million now. He’s a 50 point, heart and soul guy. I’d look at something like the sea Anderson just signed with the Habs as a starting point. Right handed, as well.

Would you trade your boy Johnny straight up for Gallagher?
I would!

Exact combination of skill, grit, top 6 RW we need. You cant discount the 3 million in cap savings that would give us too. Near impossible to trade $ without taking $ back today.

Also while losing an elite player. If we're talking Monahan then I'm all ears.

Kidding ? I like Gallagher but he had 1 goal and 3 assists in the playoffs. You don’t trade Johnny for that.

I’m pretty sure he’s just trolling me from the previous article.

Tanev on a lower value contract is risky, but Schmidt who’s never succeeeded outside of a trap system, has been successful in a top 4 role for a smaller amount of time, has had his team prove they can win without him for the entire duration of his steroid suspension and is signed for 2m more for the same amount of time is a missed opportunity.

Ok, bud. We get it. You don’t like defense-first players.

Todd looks a stats and that’s it. I like our signings this year. We finally got a #1 goalie and Tanev is another right shot defenceman

You know what would have been cool? A story about the Flames.... Calgary didn’t miss out on Nate, 31 teams missed out on him... Yet you feel a need to crap on Calgary alone for missing out.... Pointless blog.... Maybe focus on Jersey

That should be corrected. He is a RHD. Saying he shoots right implies he shoots, and he doesn't ever shoot. He's played 10 seasons thus far, and has finished 7 of those seasons with 2 goals. Tho he does pass, block shots, pk, and contain the opponents best players very effectively.

Anyway, how do you think Brodie will handle the Tor media? They are ruthless towards offensive D.

I respect Carol, but seriously imagine if every decent content writer on the internet was just thanked by their readers for the first 10-30 comments every time. It would nice for them but really bizarre from the norm
