... and no defense!

First round exit again next year.

They have Stanley Cup champion zach bogosian on defense

exactly, that's why Kulak is not going anywhere imo
- fidopro

oh yeah, in that way. Unless Romanov is ready to move on to the top 4 in a year.

I also would trade Byron. Kulak is not making all that much and I still think they want a vet with Romanov. Not fleury or any other rookie.

Wow! Kk, suzuki, caufield, gallathirdliner, deselke and Romanov will all be getting BIG tickets soon.

DEEP in cap hell. Crazy.

I still get to look forward to them continuing to make legitimate playoffs.

Have fun looking at who is projected between 8th and 13th in the 2021 draft

The team is perfect to start the season.

Trade Weal and put Ouellet in Laval and we are $2M under the cap.

The lines should be like this:

Drouin - Suzuki - Anderson
Toffoli - Kotkaniemi - Armia
Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Lehkonen - Evans - Byron

Back-ups would be Poehling, Ylonen or Belzile, depending the need.

I really like these four lines.

My prediction is the Habs will be top 10 team in the league if the following holds:

1. No player from top 6 fwd or top 4 get moved
2. No Major Injury
3. Suzuki and KK excel
4. No dip in prod from Gally/Danault/Tuna
5. Price and Allen perform at their levels

Imo, they maybe cup contenders, we will see

it's a little bit funny hearing a Leafs fan talking about cap hell when Toronto are spending most of their cap on 3 or 4 players.

And yet, still can't win a round !

I have the same prediction if the following holds:

1: They have more points than 21 other teams.

I know it sucks to have good young players on entry level contracts. Do you feel the pain of what you lost with Auston Nylander etc signed to bloated contracts and then not even making it past the play in round?

I think we're the only ones who think this. They're going to lose players to UFA at the end of the year; this is the year to go for it. They're not the favorites, but I think they have a real shot.

yep

They even missed the playoffs this year, but Mr peanut thinks he doesn't count because of the covid.

I'm all for positive thinking but can we just remind ourselves we finished 12th last year?

This team looks like a legitimate playoffs team. I wouldn't go any beyond that until they actually hit the ice.

A lot will depend on KK and suzuki. I think they will be better, but we'll see how much. And wich version of the team will show up. Cause it was pretty ugly before the bubble.

they should lose Tatar, but be able to keep all the others is that's what they want.
they may decide to let go Armia and or Lekhonen, but not because they don't have the $$. (or keep Tatar but lose Armia and Lek)
Allen gone, Edmundson gone, Alzner drops. 9M to extend Gally Danault Armia and Lek. should be ok

Armia, from potential first line RW to 4th line RW.

Must be rough.

I still see him on the top9.
I see Lekhonen on the 4th.
