Only reasonable due to the tax advantage

Definitely a factor, but nice weather and a winning team helps too.

question.

when Seattle joins the league and the pacific division, who moves to the central, VGN or Arz?

- dbot

Yotes, I believe this was announced or leaked already.

Depends, teams always "bail out" Tampa since they do such a good job of signing quality players to reasonable contracts so the players they offer up are rarely "dumps". Vegas probably would've been in that boat as well if this was a normal year with a rising cap, Martinez easily gets moved, Fleury is more of na typical cap dump, but with retention probably he becomes an easier sell as well if the cap went up.

If they move Schmidt, Id assume there would be a mini bidding war, he's better than his cap hit.

Gonna be interesting to see how they make this work

How is Vegas allowed to be over the off season salary limit? How many breaks that team going to get?

They have to have a trade lined up, I doubt the AP contract is filed for league approval until the trade call is made first. They're probably making a trade with an organization that is good at containing leaks(or in a small market) or I'd imagine the trade would've been leaked by now as well.

Two key points of context for me at this moment in time:

1) A season and a half ago, how many of us would have viewed Marky as indispensable and/or worth 6x6? Things can change quickly and in Ian Clark we trust.

2) Look at the step the young guys took after an additional two months of training before the bubble. There is still significant latent value in the core (and in the younger guys in the system). Internal team growth is real and the team should focus on adding the right player as opposed to adding whichever player is available.

Wonder if seattle will make it in time, Arena was delayed and with all that is going on there... will be interesting if they can get that done in time and if they don't - what that impact would be.

So after all the 'statements' in the off season where players sort of indicated where they'd like to play: Hall to Cgy, Barrie to Van, Petro in StL, none ended up signing there.

smh.

it's like you can't even believe realestate agents about players shopping for homes in town anymore.
