And knowing Benning it was probably Sutter although his contract is better then Eriksson and Beagle
- phyllee

Yah who knows...I guess we don’t have the 4.25 lol saving it for some D.

To bad.

Yeah, for me it’s LE, Beagle for sure as the top 2 and then Myers(due to term) ahead of Sutter.

LE and Beagle bring nothing at 5v5 at this point

This just came to me, remember how at the deadline it was reported someone was going to take Loui if Van included either Gaudette or Rafferty. A move not done that very well could end up costing Benning his job.

Yeah. This one sucks to let get away.

Markstroms new contact was expensive and too long. No problem letting him walk. Especially with the Holtby deal.

With Tanev, it was time for him to go given age and term he got.

Stetcher was got for cheap, but again you can understand moving on, under the condition that mgmt replaces him with an upgrade...(still waiting)

Toffoli is hard to rationalize.

- dbot

Full agree with this assessment. Seeing what TT got, it's pretty absurd they couldn't have found a home for Sutter and signed him to that contract.

This is the stupidest post I’ve ever read. A team was going to take Loui if we included Rafferty and he declined. LMFAO

I've never heard JB getting ripped as much on the radio and twitter than today. Good thing the team doesn't have to worry about gate revenue.

We all know FA cares about that playoff gate revenue. Maybe he's thinking if there's no playoff gate revenue, why not just make it no playoffs?

Lol. It would likely take two firsts to unload Loui. Rafferty has no value. But yes, I’ve probably written worst posts myself

Internal cap makes theory way less sense than FA limiting Benning due to lack of trust

OEL gets paid a poop load in real dollars and they were in on him. They offered Barrie 5M, they offered Marky and Tanev deals with decent money but again less term.

Either ownership doesn’t trust JB’s long term contracts or something else is up

- Nucker101

Barrie was short term but it is a good point regarding OEL. Might be that the deal included some retained salary?
Regardless, I agree there must be a mandate or plan in place to not spend much money. Only thing hat makes sense to me is Benning feels he's in on a deal to bring salary in on a trade.

Schmidt hopefully.

maybe #Canucks just go with a patchwork D for a 48-game COVID season and then pounce on teams with surplus D ahead of Seattle expansion. May be best way to land key piece(s) at discount price

Basically snipe players off other teams so they don't lose them to Seattle for free.

From bubble team, to playoff nuisance, to bottom 5 league wide in the span of two months of the league resuming.

Jesus christ.

Holy fack chill pill people...

We lost the Sedins and the whining was abound. Where will the points come from?

We are fine.

Losing Tanev won't hurt us would just be nice to lose Edler as well lol.

Markstrom's load can be handled by Holtby/Demko FFS. Marky had one stellar year and now the sky is falling and you want to talk to Jeebus lol

Stecher was a no-brainer losing him will help this club in spades. For what Tanev brought with injuries and Stecher brought here we have players in the system that can play 50 healthy games and get 20 points on the blue line each way.

What sucks is Toffoli and basically getting nothing. But there are 20 wingers available for 4 mil per....relax man.

Now the bottom 5 predictions will roll in

This place is so great...

I have no idea how good he is tbh, I don’t really look into prospects until a few months before the draft.

lol, poor Don doesn’t realize that lanky kids have more potential upside since they have room to fill out and add more strength compared to a Hoglander who’s already maxing out.
