If he does come here it better be for 2mil cap max. So that means a three team trade. |

Can’t see it being more than that. |

We live in a world where Nate schmidt is worth a 2022 3rd pick and Kapanen is worth a 1st and top prospect |

Considering Tampa is literally trying to give Tyler Johnson away, spending a 1st on Kapanen was an awful move |

I can only see it if vgs buys him out and he signs for a mil. Would only cost them 2m per year so that’s 5m off the cap. 11m with Schmidt gone. |

The first probably should have never gone for Kap but remember Kap is a 3.2 hit for 2 years not TJs contract at all. Teams are looking for bargain contracts and Ruth went for it. Steep, yea. Idk haha I'm over it now. |

Jeez Don’s model hates Vesey. Currently has him at only a 67% chance of living up to his literal minimum contract. |

Buyout window is over. I've already accepted Rutherford gonna find a way to get him here. If it's a mil......I guess that's ok, but they'll need a third team. |

Fleury can be traded to a team with an arbitration eligible RFA and there's an extra buyout window applied after an arbitration assigned contract
example
Vegas trades Fleury to Detroit with a 1st (and probably more) as a sweetener
Bertuzzi on Detroit gets a contract awarded by the arbitrator
Detroit then gets another buyout window and buys out Fleury for 8.3 Million (real dollars)
Fleury returns to Pittsburgh
OR
Vegas trades MAF to Detroit with a 1st and retains 2 Million
Detroit Trades MAF for Pittsburgh with 50% retained (2.5 Dead money)
Pens get Fleury for 2.5 Million cap hit |

Nathan Legare scored his 2nd goal of the year this weekend. He has 5 points in his first 4 games.
https://t.co/F9LacMivJT
I haven't given Legare much chance of making the team, but he's got 3 months of development to change my mind
Just realized, talk about a rookie wall. If anyone from juniors makes the NHL, they'll play half their season then jump into the NHL for whatever a full season is. |

I mean honestly I don’t see how they could possibly trade him. |

A trade with retention doesn't really work for them unless they want to burn picks as sweeteners and find a taker for the entire contract
Even if they retained 50%, they'd still need to spend a couple of million to find a competent backup, so assuming 2 Million, where is the real savings?
They are still 2 players short of a roster and 975k over the cap. They still have to do something |

Legare offers something they no longer have. Sets up shop in traffic and he's tough to move. Sick shot too. He probably won't make the team based on his skating, but I hope they give him a fair shot. |

Thanks for the updates as always. Idk, with how bad our bottom 6 looks they may have to have both Legare and Poulin make the team. I think I'd rather have them play than these scrubs we grabbed. |
