Vegas has to move him if they’re signing Pietro.

2nd, fleury (half retained) + something

for

Hutton

- turbo044

That doesn’t save them anything. Half of Fleury’d contract is what $3.5/3.75. Hutton makes $3

$3.5 (half) and $2.75 (Hutton) saves them $750,000. Not enough

That’s right. That’s how I see it too, when they trade Fluery, and include a 1st, that is for the cap dump. They won’t be taking more $ back unless it is a decent player (not cap dump back). They won’t retain money either. They need that money.

According to the flight tracker website. The departure time has updated with an expected departure now. So they’re leaving.

This is one of the reasons why I've never done fantasy sports. Real actual sports (especially Buffalo sports) are aggravating enough. I don't need the added stress.

Do you guys enjoy fantasy sports ? Or do they cause you stress ? Do you wish you could just walk away from them ? Or do you love them and vow to participate in them forever ?

- kritter65

Fantasy sports are extremely aggravating.

Fun part though, you play friends and family members across the USA.

Even if you haven't spoke in a while, you both know that your playing each other. Keeps you close in a way.

Our league is 10 teams ( year 19 )

My one league is $5 waiver move after the first 5 moves. I suggested we move it to 10 this year and I got roasted. Now everyone wants it at 10 or more...

How can they afford $15 million between those two?

Well, when you put it that way, it might be fun - for the normal American. However, I hate everyone and everything. I have zero friends. I haven't talked to my one brother since...the late 70's ? And my other brother for about 20 years now. Humans in general are overrated.

Enjoy your day !

Well played ion: 🙊

😀

What's an acceptable goal total / points for girgs? At 2.2?

Certainly more than the 15 points you suggested?

- Boss34

Girgenson is a replacement level 3rd/4th line tweener IMO.
I would like the 4th line to produce 0.3+ ppg...so 25sh points...and 3rd liners in the 0.45+ ppg...so 35sh points
Therefore, I'd say 25-30sh points should be a reasonable expectation.

The LOG line did produce very good xGA stats...they just couldn't convert into actual goals very well...mostly brought down by Larsson. TrippinLarry actually did ok there...he just needs equal number of assists to add to his 2nd best career year for goals at 12.
So 12+13 would be minimal I would be looking for.

Mr. Potato head/Okposo retires to save his last remaining brain cells? Trade Monte/Miller/Ristolanus for picks and prospects?

You got there in the bolded.
Higher-end players won't get squeezed...like him or not, Sam is a relatively high-end player.
You have seen me post numerous times about moving Sam...not because he sucks, but because he is a considerable trade chip...so I don't believe he is untouchable.

Sam signed a short-term, prove it deal 2 years ago..and he proved to be a 1RW.
Arbitrators are forbidden to consider the economic conditions of the club or league, and I believe they also ignore current year UFA signings (can't remember where I read that as it was 14 months ago)...so your Covid Pricing logic goes out the window.

Do you think Sam, after being screwed out of say $3-$4m in the past prove it contract is actually going to be Club-friendly? If so, why did he file for arbitration?...as he could have just continued on with club-friendly negotiations.

- IonSabres

Solid post

Sam definitely was a product of the rfa rules last time.
His contract was slightly lower than some expected, but pretty much exactly what I was guessing.

He should be looking for as much $ as possible. Human nature , whether I like the guy or not.

Gotta think he realizes (or his agent) that some of his points are attributed to being glued to eichels side.

Mark my words

Sam will NOT get 7 million from the Sabres.

I think they move him after signing hall 😉
Or sign sam under 6 million

This is going to be an all day affair.

True - not sure I want to take on the extra 4.25m (MAF over Hutton) at this point in his career even if a 1st is included. A Vegas 1st tends to be a very late 1st

If you want a good laugh, or to feel somewhat better about our team, have a quick read of the Leaf comments sections on various sites regarding their addition of Bogo. They genuinely think it was a good move ! I keep seeing words like "added toughness" and "low risk signing" ...

Oh man, are they in for a surprise. Goals will go into their net directly because of his poor play, and they're going to find that out the hard way. Poor b@stards.

The thing that really sucked about him was his outlet passes. Time after time after time, his passes weren't on target (usually in the skates), which lead to a turnover, which lead to pressure in our zone, which lead to a goal against. Saw it tons of times. I ALMOST feel sorry for that fan-base now. Almost.

In the 14 total games he'll play next year, he'll be a minus 20.

They don’t have a Hedman to pair him with. If he plays meaningful minutes they’re in trouble.

I'd fall over dead if the Sabres could move a 1st line RW who filed for Arb in the Covid economics most teams are facing...would have to be a team with exceptionally deep pockets ...like Toronto and Montreal owned by companies unaffected by covid

He played well in the time he played for the Stanley Cup winners.
At $1m x 1 for a 3rd pairing RhD, I think TO did just fine there.
