Fourth team since 2018/19 and 183 pounds.

I’m dying for this to happen for obvious reasons

- sbroads24

He has already had his actual 40+ pt season, 46 and 22 goal season. Now I see why he got the 4 million dollar contract I guess and can play all three forward positions but unless he comes dirt cheap I could care less.

So a guy who can maybe score 40 points, and play all three positions, is totally fine to give up assets for, but keeping the one they already have for undoubtedly less than 4 mil isn’t the smarter route?

Between you and Boss I can’t keep the narratives straight anymore.

Are we getting tougher to play against, or adding soft under 200lb Russian’s that gets moved off every team he plays for?

You know what makes a real tough to play against. If you are always chasing the puck, and the team has elite offensive skills.

But in Buffalo it’s still all about the “Punch people in the face ability”

He's a UFA. I asked about this guy I don't know anything about him except his numbers, his positions and salaries. Someone decided to pay him 4 mil for some reason and I wonder why. Kahun is still out there maybe he'll still be a Sabre and then you can get on the parade planning committee.

No, it should be always chasing the puck, using your body as well and having solid offensive skills with a "high motor," but the Sabres haven't had many of those players.

I’m just asking, what is this direction we’re heading? Does any of it make sense?

If they were going for a big, tough bottom 6, maybe Kahun doesn’t fit. Maybe Larsson didn’t wanna be here.

But then we sign Reider, who’s small. They sign depth D men so that Borgen, who’s a rough, physical D man has almost no shot to play

None of it makes sense

I'm a fairly optimistic fan. I go to about 28-30 games a year. Love the Sabres. We all do around here.

For me, there's not alot to do with the family, in the winter in buffalo. Kids hockey, football , and the Sabres.
The wife likes going , we meet up with friends and eat ect. I'm vested. Im not giving up my season tickets anytime soon.

If Eichel was traded, I would not be happy as a season ticket holder. We paid for the tank. We paid for eichel basically. He's the real deal game in and game out.

Best buffalo athlete since dom and the 90's Bill's. Talent and showmanship (best) part. Worth admission for me.

Good heartful post Boss!

You like the Sabres game experience and pick your favorite players.
Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

We disagree on several building blocks, but not for the desire to experience a SC victory for the boys in blue, gold, and white.
Go Sabres!

I'm guessing they might think they can get him cheap, that's all I can figure out.

I used to be a die-hard never miss a game either in TV or in person. The last 2 years outside of the run, I didn’t really care to watch a game and just in general have been turned off of hockey, because of this team.

It still frustrates me that they can’t get out of their own way, but if the season starts out bad again. I’ll just do other stuff and won’t lose sleep over not seeing a game

And for me to say that, is really bad.

Sabres are expecting each individual player to try hard all game long.

Give a %100 legitimate effort .

That's what most Sabres fans want.

A respectable blue collar team. Win or lose.

They aren't gonna be a stanley cup team, at least work hard.

They have been horrible for the past decade and very soft.

Well, 1st, I feel bad for the fanbase that feels like you do.
I'm 99% there too.

It has been said we are bad fans. I disagree.
Fans that care enough to discuss this team in 10/2020 after not seeing them on the ice in 7 months aren't bad fans...rather they are THE rabid fans EVERY team desires.

Idiots confuse our fandom for female doging...yet it is those who claim to be above the frey who aren't really true fans...just social idiots who love an internet fight.

(frank) the idiots...go Sabres!

This is dumb, the Sabres could go 0-82 but as long as they try hard you are good.

Also could you please list those player who have the “try-hard” ability and those who don’t?

Say's the guy that can't stand to watch the team the past 2 years.

What's really stupid is your reading comprehension.

So the Sabres should go sign good skilled players that score and win?

No poop sherlock.

You literally in your post said you do not care if the Sabres win or lose as long as the give an effort.

Murray was terrible
Botterill was slightly less terrible, but bad
Adams clearly has 0 actual plan

What are the odds all three are so bad and it’s not the owners being too involved? I’d say slim.

Sell the team

Why do we keep giving 4th liners 2 million plus avg contracts?

Olofsson eichel Reinhart
Skinner staal cozens
Thompson eakin okposo
Girgensons Lazar reider

Is now my guess. Maybe Thompson shows he should be in the top 9. The other 2 should be moved to the 4th. Dumpster fire.

How many bad GMs has Edmonton had? Florida? Columbus? FFS it took 19 years for them to win A series. And it took 14 years to win a single game in the playoffs. NHL history is replete with terrible GMs. So to answer your rhetorical question: it's both.

To be fair to Adams, Ralph is really the GM as he's the one calling the shots. That seems apparent at this point.
