I have plenty of internet points and an avatar (the standard around here) I'm willing to risk.

I'll take over 7 for girgs .

I don't think anyone other than broads has been more wrong in regards to almost every post over the past few days. Congratulations 39

Bad takes meter over the past 5 day's

1. Broads
2. 39
3. Stripes

Way too much ka-boo-hoo-hun out of 3 of you guys
Relentless bashing over every move , management and ownership.

Be happy, we have a 2c and 2018 league mvp now.
I'll trust these guys and the moves across the organization this past week over ka-boo-hoo-hun er's

- Boss34

Girgensons has made the over on 7 goals once in the past 5 seasons, and that once was when he had an abnormally high shooting percentage.

I am very happy they were able to get Staal and Hall. That said, they are not a playoff team yet. They have more work to do, as their defense and goaltending both need help.

It really, really wasn’t. As their is a giant possibility he’s on his last leg and we have no bonafide option behind him.

It was a solid move in terms of value

- sbroads24

I guess the world could end tomorrow, too.

I guess Boss could analyze players beyond truculence and goals, too.

ugh. I can't believe in 2020 we're grading drafts before the 5 year period is over.

https://bleacherreport.co...eport-card-for-every-team

If the Sabres get 2 NHLers out of this draft, considering they didn't have a 3 or 4, it will be a wild success.

- TheSabresTaco

If one (either one) of Quinn or Peterka become a quality NHL player, the draft was a win.

If both become quality NHL players, the draft was a home run.

Yes, the world ending, and a 36 year old dropping off after 1200+ games played and moving cities (and not being thrilled about it) are the same odds

You really weren't around here taco?

Had the news friday kid. Argued with everyone.

I had my sweat pants on .......

I (frank)ing know it.

I'm just saying, in general, when was the last guy as big as Hall ever signed to Buffalo in UFA? It's not just rare. It never happens. In 50 years. It never happened.

We all know exactly what to expect because he does it every year: 15-20 points and some strong defensive play.

If you see him as 4th liner, and I think everyone does, then why pay such a premium? Really surprised me this year. I don't think he was going to get 1.6m or a 3 year deal anywhere else. It's a lineup spot that most teams pay 700k for.

- Lunaion

I have absolutely nothing against paying for players that want to be in buffalo and exceed their previous contract.

Is girgensons now the highest paid 4th liner in the nhl?

He played closer to 3rd line minutes on a shutdown line.
Almost 14 minutes a game.

There would have been a 12 -14 team bidding war for girgs, especially between the teams that missed out on hall 😉

Hes making $530,000 less than an average nhl player.

So Taylor Hall is thrilled with being in Buffalo but Staal suddenly is no longer motivated. What are you doing here. What are you trying to push.

What's your angle, Frank.

I'll take the bet, just for funzies, avatar? But instead of just Girgs over 7, interest in an avatar bet of more goals, Boo-hoo vs Lion-Eater?

One of these players had a choice and signed here. One of them was "stunned" and his kids weren't thrilled when he found out he was traded here. Do I have to go into further detail on how they couldn't be more different?

Staal might be excellent. He also might be toast. Does it ever cross your mind why Minny moved him for what they did, or nah?

He was good last year. You act like the clock is going to strike midnight on his 36th birthday and his limbs are going to fall off. There is zero evidence that will happen other than pure pessimism

Quinn and Sanderson were the two fastest and highest risers of the draft.

Thank goodness Sanderson was gone because it sure sounds like they were taking Sanderson if he was available at 8 over Quinn.

If that had happened, J Crag would've thrown the chair

- kingcong39

#4. Jcrags

The hockey world is evolving towards dominant speedy defensman. The Sabres should have been "all in" on Sanderson.

Crags admitted he didn't watch 1 minute of the nhl playoffs, so ..........

No, but there is a fair to good chance he isn't 2C caliber.

The value of the trade itself is great.

The ironic thing is, I’m not mad. You seem to be mad that I’m not cupping Adams balls Over Taylor Hall liking Ralph Krueger.

I think we have a shot to be pretty good.

Mainly because Hall is a stud, Dahlin will probably take off, Jokiharju coming into his own, Skinner bouncing back, and Cozens being legit.

You know what might prevent that? Continuing to do zilch about Risto/Montour, and getting awful goaltending again

- sbroads24

Cupping his balls. All you have done is female dog about him. Its quite the hilarious take.

Your posts reke of anger and disappointment. You may say you're not mad in this post, but every other post says you are.

It was made pretty clear. Their team was a middling pile of muck and they tore out the players that had value and were easy to move.

If you think Eric Staal doesn't have value at 1 year, 3.25 million, and 0.71 ppg last season, I really don't know what to tell you.

Certain players can and will get injured. Sh1t can happen. But going on the premise that it will happen is ludicrous.

While I lean more towards your side on this argument, my answer here is that Guerin has even less of a clue of what he's doing, and Adams is a beneficiary.

Sure, or Hall and Eichel both finish top 5 in scoring.

Eichel is a Hart finalist or even wins the thing entirely.

Cozens is a Calder finalist if he rides on the first line or fits well with Skinner and Staal on line 2.

Dahlin has his coming out party and cements himself as the best young d-man in the NHL.

Joker solidifies himself as a solid top 4 RHD.

Skinner scores his 25 goals and 50 points.

Ullmark takes the next step.

It’s not all doom and gloom.

I'm excited to see this team with Dahlin entering his prime, and I have always loved Hall.

Thinking the GM sucks, and thinking the team will suck aren't mutually exclusive you know
