He's 25 and has exactly one good season.. But he'll surely replicate it for the majority of his career right?
- SDSabre

He turned 24 this past May.

Who said surely?

Let me put it this way: There is zero chance Vegas trades Tuch right now, while they would trade Marchessault if they could to clear additional cap space.

Wonder if Ralph put it in the Pegula's ear to consider Kevyn for the job.
- Powerslave

Definitely mentioned jbotts not being good at his job.

Ralph runs the show, and Adams was the cheapest option.

Botterill wasn't fired for performance, which is crazy in itself, but true.

He was fired because he wouldn't go along with firing half the staff and changing how they do scouting.

Krueger is the dude now. I expwect him team Pres within a few years

Stripes shared a few days ago that the rumor was Ralph did not get along with Jason.

I mean, you just said that, without using the word surely I guess? And yeah, by the time the season is done, he'll be 25, sorry should have said it that way.

As far as anyone else around the league, I'm sure there are plenty of guys. I said he could be good, and he could be. He could also be like Haula was and have one good year and still be living off that.

As far as who is close to that comparable, we have one of our own in Tage. Hopefully he uses it.

I don't consider Tuch a wild card at all.

He's 6'4, 220, skates very well, and has an excellent shot.

How many players like that are around the league?

- kingcong39

hopefully there's a guy on our roster like that this year. just a bit taller.

any chance we sign Haula for 3C? that would be a hell of a turnaround on offense if we did that in one offseason.

Maybe. I find it weird that Botterill wanted Krueger when he hired Housley, then pursued him again, and it all fell apart that quickly

Minus the actual production of course, which is a large minus.

They've been the team most linked to Haula for weeks now, so it's possible.

Yeah, which I said in the next sentence.

Tuch has had one season. One. That's it. And he gets incredibly sheltered offensive minutes and has his entire career. Again, can he be a new age power forward, absolutely. Do I (would assume most) need to see more to label that? Same answer, absolutely.

this would be a good time to trade one of those right shot D men and grab Travis Hamonic

If Thompson looks like a top 9 player tha's a very cheap, valuable asset they could pluck.

I think paying them a minor fee to take Eakin is best case.

People haven't brought up Ruostulainen, and he very well could make this team as a 4C or wing. He looks good

- sbroads24

They could protect both and still not really lose anything of value

Eichel
Sam
Olofsson
Skinner
Thompson
Mitts
Routsalainen

Dahlin
Joker
Miller

Ullmark

Let them choose between Eakin, gus, okposo, risto and lazar

i am of the feeling that hall signed for 1 year because he thought he had a better shot at a payday next offseason... but do you think kevyn had the expansion draft in mind when he did the one year deal?
- SabresFaninIndiana

He was offered one and two years, because it's very clear this team is about to have a lot of high contracts. They must shed a few to keep the good players. Hall wanted a year for "personal and professional" reasons. Let's keep in mind other teams in the league offered similar money, so I hardly think money is at the forefront. I consider Hall to be well thought and honest, and he wants to see what this team is all about. I no doubt think he'd be interested in more years if it works. At the same time, if it doesn't, he can easily move on.

Hall did say yesterday you needed to look under the smoke or the hood to see the pieces the sabres have LOL

He's right. This organization was a flaming dumpster fire from November to June.

That ship has passed - they signed Eakin as their 3c. They would have gone after Haula instead of Eakin if that's who they wanted

Not bad Allen second in QBR behind Rodgers. Let's keep it going tonight.

A+ taco

I agree, girgensons was a great signing.

Do you think secretly jack has an opinion on sam's "give a poop level"

- Boss34

I don't like the Girgensons money but I don't mind the player for what he does on the team. He should be paid a million less based on market.

I also don't know the work level Reinhart puts in, so I didn't list him. He doesn't ever seem to pop up on the "this guy busts his ass" comments from the media, but you don't hear about him NGAF either. I truly don't know.

I know Skins works hard too, but I don't know if he does it consistently.

Doesn't make much sense as Hamonic shoots right also

Player to consider is Leddy from NYI. Shoots left and would immediately slot in next to Dahlin. NYI is trying to trade him, $5.5m is a steep cap hit though.

Trade Risto ($5.4) and trade for Leddy ($5.5m) - big win.

Trade Miller ($3.9m) for a pick, Trade for Kuemper ($4.5) - near elite team
