They need to find a way to make room for Kahun.
- DarthKane

Better fit than Nylander imo

The big names are still available. Hall, Hoffman, Pietragelo.
- Rota's RooterCould Stanley be making a pitch?

Oddly Markstrom is shown being on the Flames roster on Capfriendly yet, there has been no announcement aside from Ek.

I bet Stan goes all-in with Hall.

Agreed, Murray isn't worth that contract, at least not to the Hawks.
- DarthKane

I am not sure he is worth that to the Sens, either. His injury history is even more extensive than Crow's. His play the last two years has been in regression. They do need some cap hits to get to the floor and I guess Murray does help with that.

At his age and after being a part of 2 Cup winners? Its red flags all around with the Pens moving on from him. It's not like he was a flash in the pan that came out of nowhere.

I'm ok with giving the 3 goalies an opportunity to step-up, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Stan sign/trade for a veteran netminder either.

Its 2 years as a pro. Neither are exempt. The AHL and ECHL counts as pro hockey.

Thanks this site said NHL players-thought that sounded odd but thought they changed the rules

Remember the good ole' days where the board would be in a frenzy because Stan had not signed a FA yet?
- LAHawk

FA periods and trade deadlines were always the best. My favorite was when people went absolutely mental about Stan not ponying up for Kyle Quincey.

Checking the TSN FA tracker and it appears that a lot of teams are bottom feeding right now. Murray and Josh Anderson the big signings so far.

Sarcasm, but how shocked would we be if Saad and dehaan were traded and he signed Krug?

Not saying it would happen but no one saw Lehner being signed last year

I think they're in a different place this year.

I honestly believe on of the 4 will step up. My bet is on Lanky.

Damn. Just saw Matt Murray's contract. Sens are betting a lotta coin on him returning to form.

Glad Bowman moved on

- Elbows15

That contract is insane, there’s a reason why bad teams stay bad, once in a while they have a year where things fall into place, but then they go right back to sucking.

Lankinen(sp) and Tompkins exempt from draft protection as they have/will have played less than 2 years in NHL. Delia depends on playing time this year. So Subban is sacrificial lamb unless he plays lights out. Explains the 2 year deal.
- Revco38

I believe it's years as a pro not in the NHL which determines draft exempt status. Delia turned pro in 17-18, Lankinen in 18-19 so they are both draft eligible.

Could see Subbs possibly too, though Lanky's play at the Worlds makes me think something's there.

I'm getting paid on the naming rights for usage right?

The idea of a blog community is discussion on topics. In this case the hockey in general but more specifically the Chicago Blackhawks. Ideas are thrown around good or bad people having different perspective or opinions is all good its for discussion sake. Some posters are more knowledgeable on hockey in general than others and that is good. There is always one bad apple that has to stir the pot best not read that persons post or reply. So just continue giving opinions and ideas some will agree and some won't.

Considering I labeled Lanky last year, no.
