Tyler Johnson (TB) on waivers

The issue is the contract the little guy has. He is Seattle connected so maybe they will pick him if you sign him..

Ya I get it . just a though .

Hawks need that type of player or players because they in that area. Time will tell if bowman addresses that.

So when does the first goalie domino fall?

Would like to see Kahun return and versatile Dominik Simon brought in. Really think Strome is too slow and has been dethroned by Dach so trade or take picks if he is offer sheeted.

If we are doing a rebuild and revamping the identity of this team, as much as I like Murphy and Saad, you can get a lot of value for them I think

I find it so ironic that every year they start the free agent frenzy show at the east time the Free agency starts and then there are a few hours on minimal low end signing the could have covered when they started two hours later.\
Glad I delivered food to the St.Bank, went to the comic book store, had my pool water tested and did an 8 minute in/out supermarket shop for vegetables, yogurt, and peanut butter...

I dont think the hawks will add any guys b/c you over pay and we are now in rookie goaltender and round defender mode.

So does this year, if the playoffs are missed, make Kane and Toews and Keith start thinking of going where they can win again or are they comfortable" staying?

First one LOL. This eats up their Cap space but at least they have a guy who is a Batman fan...Does this mean Nugent-Hopkins is leaving soon for free agency or is he his winger?

Second one is ok I think...even though the three deal..

If Toronto who wants to get bigger doesn't want Clifford, and signed Simmonds instead, why should the Hawks take him?
- LAHawk

Oh yeah Toronto is a team we want to be taking direction from. RED FONT

I definitely see us making the playoffs. We were the youngest team in the playoffs last season, LOTS of blossoming young talent. Generally speaking these sort of teams tend to improve and continue an upward trajectory as that young talent continues to develop, rather than fall off/regress. Especially considering our young core happens to be backed up by a still all-star caliber 88 and 19. Just very hard to see all this talent going into next season failing to make the playoffs. We’re a very promising looking young team. I REALLY like the offseason moves thus far(clearing up lots of cap space and inking Kubalik to a very cost friendly deal).

Couple points;

1. Stasny isn't a 2C and longer

2. WTH would anyone let Vegas off the hook for that. Chevy has lost his mind.

- vabeachbear

Agree with you on Stastny - Chevy can enter him in the Turtle Derby in the offseason. He skates just slightly faster than Kimmo Timmonen in his glory Blackhawk season.

But in Chevy's defence, Stastny liked playing in Winnipeg and it is very hard to find players willing to play there. But he should have made Vegas eat some money.

Fair enough. I swear other posters keep talking about someone offer-sheeting him.

Look at the bright side, probably going to be a 48 game schedule, not that long.
