Would have liked to have some better forward prospects at Bridge at this point. It's a real mess in Bridge with very little help and it really hurts when the Cap is a big issue. I'm not sure if it makes sense to try JHS with Pageau or maybe Wahlstrom with Pageau if he is ready?

I suspect that when we see guys like Wahlstrom or JHS with the Isles will be dependent in part on when they make a convincing case that their 2-way game is up to snuff. Both have shown some offensive talent, but Barry won't put up with lazy or careless play away from the puck. IMO, Wahlstrom is a better fit with Pageau than JHS. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the pre-season.

OK, Staple says Pulock, Toews and HoSang rejected QO and are going to arbitration. It means they can't sign an offer sheet. Does it mean they are coming back to Islanders on 1 year deals, based on what the arbitrator rules?

It means Lou better sign Barzal ASAP. Lou pucked up by giving up picks and signing a player who didn't even get us to the cup finals, and spent to the cap. I know some tards on here will insist I'm 'trashing Pageaus contract', but reality is that $5 mil would have enabled us to sign 3 players who are key to the Isles future. With the season ending losing streak, how on Earth did Lou feel he should dump so many assests and salary into a center for a low scoring 3rd line?

If senile Lou can't dump cap, he'll need to spend almost all he has to nab Barzal and wave goodbye to Pulock and Toews. Perhaps the idiot will sign Pulock and Toews and let Barzal fly on an offer sheet so we get back the Pageau picks.

What a puckin mess.

I figure Pageau would be very good for Wahlstrom and less pressure starting on the 3rd line. Could be a very interesting 3rd line. Wonder who can play LW on that line besides Leo?

If in fact they actually go to arbitration. The Islanders are just going through the motions and protecting their assets at this point.

Have to give Wahlstrom a shot with Pageau at this point imo.

I agree Cpt. I think Wahlstrom needs to be giving a long look this year. No 8 game trial run.

If Pulock actually makes it to arbitration he is most likely going to win a better contract then we’ll be able to afford imo. Hoping Lameriello finds a way to shed some salary and sign these kids before it gets there. Going to be tough.

The guy on the left does have an edge on Leo in terms of contract.
