Good, we got something for RW to hate on for his next blog

Yea, kind of confused with this pick considering he was ranked lower and pens could had possibly had him in the 3rd round.

Marshall seems shocked by the pick which is probably not a good sign.

Brian Lawton likes the pick. Thinks this guy has a good future.

Always confused with GMJRs processes. Most of it is just throwing darts at a board. Some hit bullseyes. Some don’t lol sometimes I don’t even know if he’s looking at the board. Probably mid sip with his beer.

Pens must have really really liked him if they had to use this pick to get him now rather than taking a chance on waiting til the 3rd round

It’s not like this pick would help us in the next 2-3 years anyway. Our goalie pipeline has dried up with trades or prospects graduating to the NHL. I don’t hate it.

Blomquist is a really solid prospect but im really surprised by the pick. I was hoping for a C like Foudy who might be able to fill in a 3C role in 2 years. We might not see Blomquist for 4 years.

And in 2028 when Malkin and Sid retire and he’s the goalie on a rebuilding team, he can be criticized for sucking

My preference would have been to take someone that could have value in a trade if need. Goalie prospects are notorious for holding mediocre value. But if it’s a future oriented pick for the post-Sid Geno Era, then it’s fine.

Yeah, don't want to try and build anything for the future, right?

JR with the 2nd round goalie pick hahaha. He's pretty unpredictable and erratic I will give him that, two things that make being a Pens fan exciting even if at times the moves are brutal. Not saying this pick is brutal, I just dont know enough about this player and the remaining draft class, to make that determination but using this pick they just obtained today on a goalie made me laugh none the less.

So like some have mentioned, Turris isn't what he used to be but on a 1 year deal I think he would be a nice add.

Nashville seems to be the place good centers go and become a shell of themselves. RJo, Duchene & Turris have all struggled since landing there. I'd bet on a renaissance if you put him out there with McCann and Rust for instance.

He's been dogpoop for a while now, but I'm not opposed to a 1x1 deal.

Blomqvist was the 3rd goalie taken in the draft.

Askarov and Commesso the other two. He might be a real good prospect in net.

Nah I don’t give a poop about the future right now. Acquire assets that can be used in future trades to wind out the end of Sid and Geno’s careers. Then when they retire. Suck Richard for years. Draft next generational talent. Win cups.

But that's until JR trades him at the deadline for another Patrick Marleau because as we all know, this team is SOOOO close to winning another Cup!

Right, because they are so very close to winning another Cup! Whatever you're smoking it is really powerful!
