If you think this move is better than signing Kahun to a 3 year $3 million per deal then you’re still living in an archaic hockey world.
Zemgus isn’t a problem he’s just stale and part of the entire losing culture. You can find a replacement.
Kahun can play all 3 positions and is a middle 6 forward.
I’d rather pay someone who is better and will play more than 10 minutes a game. - Stripes77
I'd like to see who else they may get. I am getting sick of some of the same players who have lost and lost..........
But, we did need bottom 6 players. 2 mil is not a lot for 3 years and he is grinder. Good point by:

The Buffalo Sabres are committed to bringing back the exact same 25th place roster year in and year out.
Same cluster(frank) at D. Same forwards who are so accustomed to losing.
It’s insanity.
I don’t even mind Girgensons that much. But my god give me a reason to think the results will be different |

It’s not so much an anti Girgensons feeling it’s just the same stale player and message.
Plus if they want to get leaner they can find a better bargain 4th liner for around $1 million.
It just sends a horrible message especially when Kahun walks. Even if they sign say Toffoli it just sends a same old same old message.

Kahun at 3 million - fine.
You were saying 3.5 - 4 million earlier. That's what 40 point guys get.
Girgs brings something to this team. He gives an honest effort and is difficult to play against.
2.9 for girgs and lazarry- sign me up.
Spend some $ on toffoli. Get tougher to play against.
I respect your opinion in regards to kahun, we're just seeing different things.
Kagm is doing it my way so far:
Get less swedish- for less $
Resign lazar cheap
Resign girgs cheap
That's 25% of the forwards already |

Exactly and TBH why would Toffoli want to come to this dumpster fire of an organization after coming from a playoff team. He'd probably resign there if Van could make the cap room

Honest question - Michael Pachla
Well I thought it was a little wacky what I heard earlier, so I asked 89 if he heard anything. But heard that the Sabres offered a 3yr contract earlier and Kahun wants a 2yr at over 3mill a year, that's why I don't know how true, seems a little wacky to me. |

he knows his place and willing to mop the deck - homiedclown Lockport Larry has 38 goals in nearly 400 games and there are some here who think he's a 3rd line center. Those same people jumped on some analytical bandwagon this year and think he evolved into a Selke candidate and would give him more than Gus and not think twice |
