Andrae can play defense and is physical. A mini Kimmo is fine with me if that pans out. |

I think Mark Howe was 5'10" 190 if I had to guess. |

Sure, which is fine. As good as Eichel is, I'm not trading a home-grown top-pair D that we have locked up long term. Just my take. - jmatchett383
I love Provorov ...but Eichel is a top 5 super star....let’s not get carried away and over rate our own player...I do this in a second and so does anyone that’s ever watched hockey.

Read that he plays physical for a small player. Who knows? He'll be the first Flyer named Emil. |

Jets grabbed another sniper over a D man. Liane is as good as gone. - hereticpride
I seriously doubt any player they select in the 2nd round is going to have any bearing on what they do with Laine. |

I would too. And I wouldn't exempt Hart either. Simply because the sample set for Hart is still small and you can win without superstar goalies (Jimmy Howard, Corey Crawford ...) |

No.
Because the Flyers don't have anyone who replaces what Provorov does. How comes Buffalo keeps missing the playoffs with a top 5 superstar?
Eichel is great, not taking anything away from him...I just think it is hard to find top pairing dman like Provorov. |

Eichel may be the better player but this team as constructed is dead in the water without Provy. |

I am just glad Hextall isn't here to screw up the draft. Between 2014-2018, Hextall had way more misses than hits. - ClutchFlyer

If we lose Provorv, we roll with a top pair of Sanheim and Myers and a second pair that involves two of Hagg, Ghost, Or Braun.
So no, not trading Provorov (especially as part of a package) for any forward not named Draisaitl, McDavid, Point, Pastrnak, or Matthews. |

By adding a guy like Eichel allows you to move other assets to acquire a top flight d man. Again I get what your saying and I am a huge Provorov fan, but Eichel is a superstar. Provorov although a budding star is not in that hemisphere.

Stating that you would trade Hart in part due to a small sample size is pretty stupid. That sample size along with his talent and ability has shown that he can among the best goaltenders in the league. You don't trade that. Especially when you're a franchise that has had issues with getting top goaltending. Same for defense. The failure of the past to draft and develop defenseman has cost this franchise dearly. They've invested time and top draft picks to build up a defense corps. You can't win without a quality defense. You don't look at a trade in a vacuum of player for player. You look at your team, it's needs and how it's built.

Just talking but does Raffl have value for a 3rd round pick? If the Flyers are looking into resigning Pitlick, would you look to see if you can get a 3rd rounder for Raffl to get into this round since you don't have one?

See that’s the rub....to me Eichel is as good as everyone on your list not named McDavid. |

I personally don't see the Flyers entertaining a trade for Raffl for a draft pick. I think they value his versatility and locker room presence, especially after re-signing him. |

I'm sorry but Andrea is a fantastic pick. Saw him as high as 15 and general consensus around 35. His height is the only thing against him. He is not small or easy to push around weight wise. His speed and skating is silky. And his offensive iq is incredible. His upside is one the highest in the entire draft. And he's still so young he's probably gonna round into 195-200 lbs. |

If there isn’t someone you really want I can’t see why we would trade into this round at all |
