And there go Grans and Wallinder. The draft is an area where I'd like to see more aggression out of Tre - maybe there's a guy lurking that they like and no one else has on their radar, but he's walked away from 3 pretty solid dmen so far in the draft by trading down and not trading back up... Same thing last year, thought he should have moved back up in the draft to nab Leason/Foote(who should have been the pick anyways)/Kaliev/Lavoie/Hoglander or Sogaard.
Can't complain too loudly as the Flames do well in later rounds, but seems like they just aren't very aggressive when it comes to the draft.

it's not just Tre
GMs aren't agressive to move up because the draft is still a crapshoot. Just because YOU have a couple prospects you like, maybe they don't theynk there's much separation and it's not worth moving up.
Sometimes it's quantitfy over quality since it's a gamble with many of these prospects
