just watch the replay of anderson's 27 goals in his good season. everyone was saying he scored that many because of panarin... he was on the ice with boone jenner and nick foligno for 3/4 of the goals I saw. but it sure seems that we found our empty net goal specialist. was the missing piece since pacioretty left.

its a flat cap period. so fine if he leaves. even in his best year he put up less than 50 points playing with one of the best players in the league. he's 26. there is no hidden potential here. signing him for a longer term above 3.5M puts all the rish with the habs.

he is not going to outperform his contract. the odds are he will underperform it and leaves the team trying to get rid of him.

3M/ AAV is a fair deal for him.

it's just that like 5 of 27 goals were empty netters. but I have to say they were nice "good defensive plays, precise clear" kind of empty net goals.
