Bergevin will probably flip one for a 4th and a 5th

Which makes zero sense because they already have too many picks.

I’d trade for a 2/3 next year. Always good to have ammos for trade or picks on next few years

I think that we overpaid.

Domi's biggest season is 72 pts
Anderson's biggest season if what, 47 pts?
Anderson had recent serious injuries

We even gave up a 3rd round pick - no biggie, but could have been packaged in another way - it was clearly just a matter of giving a little more than another team interested in Anderson.

I think we will love Anderson but we overpaid IMHO

- Not_Yan

It make sense if Suzuki and Kotkaniemi play the way they did in the playoffs. They played Domi out of town. Domi will cost more on the RFA market too, so this might be pre-emptive.

There’s not only points to look at. I don’t think Domi does really well with Torteralla has a coach. CLB isn’t really an offensive team, he’s going to play with guys like Wennberg and Jenner. Behind First Center Dubois.
I don’t know. He’s probably going to do another 40-50pts season and be paid 5-6millions for 2 years while Anderson is probably a 3-4millions for 4years.

Anderson brings a lot more then Domi would. Honestly he’s a train, he goes corners, drive nets, drops gloves and score goals. That if healthy but I guess Bergevin had medical report about it.

Domi was good at first season but he end up being mad, took stupid penalties that costed games and changed his hockey style. He tried being Crosby, driving through everyone à la Galchenyuk and end up losing pucks. He was also small and we had enough of it here

Did we really lose the trade? I don’t think so.

Two flawed players were traded for one another. The Habs moved out a flawed player who no longer had a fit and role on the team for a flawed player who is a better fit and fills a needed role. Vice versa for CBJ.

True. And MONSTER is not entirely wrong about Domi's negatives.

The way I see it: Chucky+3rd for Anderson.

I like it.

Yeah if his shoulder hold up it's a great move. If there was three things I hated in Colombus was that cannon, Anderson and Foligno.

Cbus is doing some interesting things. The Russian they nabbed in the 1st is almost 20 and his contract ends at the end of the year. Seems like they are really trying to push their competitive window for now.

if we do actually end up loving the guy it's because he'll be playing well, and that will make us forget about how much they paid to get him

If he scores 15-20 goals and plays a power game I'm sure you guys will be fine. If he scores under 10 and can't hockey, the tiki torches come out.

Yeah that's a good way. Even Domi and a 3rd doesn't bug me, regardless if some view it as an overpay or not. Domi no longer fit. People have been screaming for size, speed and scoring on the wing, MB went out and got that. Great. For once I look at MB's offseason and his moves and can say "I get it. I can see the plan. I can get behind the plan."

Me thinks if he drafted Hendrix people would be over the moon for MB this morning but trying to judge a draft the night it happened when 99% of the people judging it have never seen the players play and base their opinions on what they've read is an exercise in futility. I'm better with MB today than I was July 1 and I'm not a fan of MB

i agrEE . but when he's making a difference, he really makes a difference. but when he isn't he's just skating around with that stupid crooked mouth pissing me off.

i tried to tell someone in here before, if you want to troll the flyer fans check with me on whether hayes is playing well right now or not and then if he isn't head on in to the flyers thread and watch the heads asplode.
