Five years ago, there would be 1000 comments here on draft day. I guess that's a good sign.

Rangers just traded their 7th pick over all in 2017 draft for the 60th pick in this draft. If that was the Islanders we would never hear the end of it... just saying.

Thought Domi had finally found a home. Somewhat shocked at that trade.

I had watched that spitting chicklets interview with his Dad. I had no idea he was a type 1 diabetic. Dad talked about the challenges that comes with for a professional athlete. diet, travel, etc... which is why he is doing much better in the East. Less travel.. more time at home. Easier to manage everything .. it was actually pretty enlightening.

I did find the comment funny about looking forward to see him play for 6 minutes 5 years from now.

That was funny. Doubt he will even get to that level.

Barry did say he was not interested in draft picks.

#Isles third-round pick (their first of the draft) Alex Ljungkrantz says he would call himself a "speedy forward, works hard, creates goal opportunities."
"I would say I have a bit left to learn. It will be a process."

Rookie mistake. Does he not get how hard it is to break into the Isles as a young player?

Last time I checked, I believe Aho was listed at 177 lbs. Not easy to outmuscle those big forwards who set up camp in front of the crease when you're that size. #Hickey 2.0

Yes. But for degenerate fantasy hockey competitors, you pick him up after the draft, and trade him for a stud. The lesser IQ fellas in your league with think its the other Aho. I also did this with the other Erik Karlson. Works like a charm.

Duclair was not qualified by the Sens. That’s an...interesting move. No matter what he’s asking for, don’t you at least qualify him and try to trade him? They just lost him for nothing.

He had an average year last year, which was his best by a mile. Probably asking for the bank.

He might be a guy to take a risk on, but no way I would pay him either.

The fact we got anything for a kid who would rather play x-box over hockey, i'm thrilled

Rangers are wheeling and dealing mdw. When is the Boychuk and Ladd trade?

I would have at least qualified him. Even if they overpay him (which Ottawa can) for one year, you have a guy playing for a contract you can flip at the deadline. At least get something back for him.

True, maybe Ottawa was just over joyed with their 50 picks this draft and forgot about him

Good job trading that headache. 2nd round pick isn’t bad. Still trying to figure out how you got a 1st for Skjel.
