Together they form one single Tryamkin
- Nucker101

Are you suggesting that Tryamkin is part of the deal?

Sutter has 1 year left.

JV is up for a new contract and has Arb rights.

It can be argued that JV's contract could be more of a hindrance long term.

- boonerbuck

Good point.
JV-OJ can be included in possible OEL deal.

May as well keep Sutter/Beagle here for another year or we'll be out in the first round next season.

I wouldn’t lose any sleep if they do move on.
- dbot

It would be smart to move on.

It's Hughes' D now...let him roll with it.

So getting rid of LE, JV, Sutter, Roussel, and then Beagle bought out? That’s essentially replacing the entire bottom six. Smart move considering they are statistically one of the worst bottom six in the NHL 5v5.

Saying that, it’s too bad JB built that heinous group in the first place. Could have saved himself some trouble trying to unload all that crap.

- bloatedhefty

lol great move...this way we can have 10 players making less than 1 mil per like the Leafs...and miss the PO's all together

If the Canucks offer Sheet Cernak, Sergachev and Cirelli, will they at least land 1 of them and is that even possible to do?

Not all three. But they could offer sheet two of them. One for $2,181,546 - $4,363,095 for a 2nd, and one for $4,363,096 - $6,544,640 for a 1st and a 3rd.

Ya, that sounds about right, I forgot what the actual numbers for compensation were.

The Canucks have 2020 1st and 2nd round picks to deal (they don’t) or would offer sheets require 2021 picks?

From Cap Friendly:

The draft picks must available in the nearest entry draft, unless the compensation requires two or more draft picks in the same round: an extra year can be used to for compensation for these picks (if two 1st round picks are required, the club must have two 1st round picks available in the next three drafts)

So I guess they can't offer anything. lol

The league in general has one offer sheet every 5 years so it is pretty unlikely a team has two at once. Do you not need to have all you next year picks also to make an offer sheet? So as soon as one was accepted the other would be eliminated?

Rick Dhaliwal just mentioned on 1040 that the Canucks are considering including the likes of Podz and Hoglander now. Was originally hoping to get OEL, but I hope it falls through now if that's the cost

FFFFFFUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKK TTTTHHHHAAAAATTTT

Does JB read Hockeybuzz? Ek just gave an E4 that OEL was going to Boston.

I'll be pissed if he gave up either of those kids.

Bad news guys, I tested out a Potential OEL trade last night in NHL 20.

Myers, OJ, 2021 1st for OEL

Canucks missed the playoffs and the pick jumped from 11th to 1st, Arizona drafted their new franchise player.
