I think years past overpayment was a requirement because of everything associated with Canucks. Travel , Canadian , bad team , everything. This year players find this as a desirable landing spot. I am confident I will like this years edition of the Canucks - VANTEL
All true. We are becoming a destination point on many fronts once again. |

It was a choice of playing experienced centers over playoff rookies. Doesn't mean that remains going forward. The better skilled players learn and get deployed. This why it was so important to make the play-offs so the younger guys learn to excel the next time. - NuckUp
You can paint it any way you want but it still was not Beagle and Sutter stopping Jake who is not a first year player from playing . Motte beat Jake out of a spot he did not have playoff experience.
Jake will probably be moved because Canucks probably feel that they are not getting enough contribution for the amount they invested.

He probably has, doesn’t make sense to not give the Yotes a deadline that ends really soon since JB has to worry about his own owning UFA/RFA’s. Hopefully JB realizes that Boston is likely lowballing so he has a lot of leverage on the Yotes. - Nucker101
Boston may have even told JB they are low balling otherwise, based on JB history a deal would have already been made..if the deal isn’t announced tomorrow at the presser I don’t think it gets done. |

I am not sure how you know so much seeing I never see you around but it doesn't really matter I guess.
Alt accounts are for children. If Vestal is an alt account of someone who is banned then they are clearly violating the rules of Hockey Buzz where it clearly states creating an alt account and posting is against the rules if you are banned.

Why not throw Beartchi and Ferland in as well since Arizona wants to give away two of their best players for so many of the Canucks problem contracts and under achieving prospects.
 - boonerbuck
Study their cap problem & they are also a cash poor team to find my reasoning.
12.7m cap out 12m cap in for Arizona
-real money it’s 4m total for LE over 2yrs
2 roster players out & 4 in.

Hearing that Tampa Bay has talked to Tyler Johnson’s camp about working together on a possible move. Johnson has a full no-trade clause. Let’s see where this goes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have seen Paquettes name out there too. I bet they are looking to keep their RFAs |

Cirelli Sergachev & Cernak will cost a ton. It’ll take a few players moved out. TB has a lot of work ahead to do. If ever there was a time for an OS to happen this is it.

Kilorn is another name too. I would be more interested in their D when they hit free agency Bogosian Shattenkirk and Schenn

Johnson Paquette Palat Killorn are all old news as rumoured for quite awhile. Nobody speaks of Stevie Y handing out NTC’s like candy.
JB wanted Miller rather than any of those. Ppl only see what we paid not who he wanted.
All those D are expendable. No interest for me. |

Would you rather a 1 mil Bogosian Schen or Stecher?

None of them tbh. 3rd pair D are not a priority. Rather promote from within. TB is as a ripe as it gets for an OS in this flat cap era before an e-draft. |

Year after year you preach the offer sheet. What do you think the odds are that any offer sheet happens? Secondly, what do you think the odds are Benning offers one? |

How about let us hear you play some armchair GM. Try it for once. You game? |

Don’t expect much. Less than a 1% chance Benning offers an offer sheet. Given the cap issues, best we can’t hope is the roster doesn’t take a step back |

I guess repeating myself is warranted then.
If teams wait out TB & make them sweat it out til free agency comes this follows in order. Squeeze them til it hurts.
1st any team OS is to Cernak up to 4/4.3m & force TB to match or walk away & take the 2nd.. Many teams should do just that. This commits TB to cap space with Cirelli & Sergachev still to come. (Pulock & Toews are other good D targets for an OS on NYI.)
If TB matches that which I assume they probably would then they are even more wide open to a big OS for Cirelli. A bonafide 2C like him is in high demand & could fetch 7/6.5m no problem costing a 1st/3rd. Worth it easily. OS for 7.5m it’s a 1st/2nd/3rd & imo still worth it. If TB matches they cannot resign Sergachev. At least 2 players have to waive a NTC to get cap space to sign him.
Summary: why would any team do TB any favours when they can be bent over backwards over a barrel? |

I don’t expect JB will do an OS. I do say TB is as ripe as it gets that a predator will threaten them subtly or not so subtly. If JB were to then Cernak is an ideal target to replace Tanev. |

If an OS were to happen & that is a rarity I do agree it will be Cirelli imo. |

Jake was pacing for 20g season which is good value, slow learner by if he can be Torres like, it's a win at this point. 1.5 x 2

Bruins are prime for an OS for Cirelli.
1) Krejci is a UFA after next year
2) stick it to a very good division rival
3) a late 1st/2nd/3rd is cheap for them
4) they can handle the cap hit
5) they need youth |

Min QO for JV is 1.25m
Gives us 1st right of refusal on an OS.
We could get probably a 2nd if we walked from an OS. |
