If only we could snag Ekblad over OEL. I would pay a pretty penny for that, though they would def need to take at least Sutter back. |

Where were you during our brief music discussion last night? It was Steve Winwood night. Talk about seven degrees. He’s connected to everyone. - bloatedhefty
Winwood has been around for sure. I gravitate more to his solo stuff as that's what I grew up with but do own alot of his older music. I know he came up with some Blues Masters Hooker, Muddy Waters, Diddley to name a few honing his chops. Spencer Davis produced some great tracks and he did something with Clapton called "powerhouse'? Never really heard those tracks...
But the Blind Faith, Traffic, Ginger Bakers Air Force stuff is all real solid. I kind of lost interest after the 'Roll with it' Solo album but will revisit it all now that you have put it in my head lol
Pretty sure I have most of his stuff on vinyl. |

Would have to give up a lot more for him, but would probably be worth it – younger, better, and a RHD.
I would assume it would start with Boeser, OJ, 1st.
However, as I keep bringing up, if we could lure Hall here on a one year deal, that makes that trade much more palatable. |

Short timeframe for sure. Motte's good to keep around. - VanHockeyGuy

Yeah, I’ve read about Clapton’s Powerhouse but they didn’t last long. I think they only released a couple of songs and then disbanded. Record labels seem to have these “studio projects” with different musicians they had under contract back then. Kind of a cool idea you don’t see much anymore.
That got me thinking about the Yardbirds. It’s amazing that one band could produce the likes of Clapton, Beck, and Page. Phenomenal. |

Just goes to show that one or two mistakes can have long term implications in a salary cap era. No wonder GMs age so quickly. JB probably has a lifetime supply of Tums or Rolaids. lol. - bloatedhefty

Hopefully JB has identified a couple of other high end D-men. I'm starting to be okay with us being out on OEL. |

Oliver Ekman-Larsson through his agent, Kevin Epp has imposed a Friday deadline for a trade to either Boston or Vancouver. “We think the best option for a trade is before free agency,” Epp told TSN. “If no deal by Friday, Oliver is staying in Arizona.” - Pacificgem
Luv it cuz it forces the Yotes hand & helps us squeeze our best deal if we go for OEL. |

Smart on OEL's side as well. He knows that once FA starts, Van and Bos will look to sign someone for free, rather than spend assets. |

LE is cheaper in real money than Sutter it’s the cap hit that is a problem for Arizona. That said they are so screwed they might be tearing it down again. |

I’ve my own nervous thoughts on it as well. Depends on the price & if we unload a dump or 2. The following year needs to be a high consideration on any big contracts assumed being the flat cap is still around. |

But, after arbitration we can't trade them for a year. |
