Only two of the last six trades were significant (TT and JTM). If TT is not retained it could be argued that he gave up too much for a one-season rental.

Is this crazy. Was looking at the Dvorak contract... it's actually super buy out friendly

If the Canucks got him and bought him out it would cost 7.8mil now, but the annual cap hit would only average around 750k over the next 10 years.... it's a long time but 750k is nothing

wow right in the armchair GM's wheelhouse. Just need another 24 of those players...

I don’t get that post. Dvorak is far from a buyout player, he’d easily get claimed off of waivers. You’d get trade offers for him if you wanted him gone. He’d be a top tier 3C on a good team or a meh 2C on a non-playoff team so his contract is fine for that role lol

Wish we didn't have Benn, I'd love to get Dillon for like 2.5M per if he really wants to play for his hometown

I think Dillon will happen . When you say I would love to sign with Vancouver and you are under contract with another team.

Shah says LE is not in the Canucks offer for OEL

That basically just confirms it's probably Sutter, no?

I don't really trust any of the radio talk show hosts 100%, they all want you to listen to their show so of course they'll pretend to have some scoops. Rick Dhaliwal seems to be pretty good at contacting player agents so outside of him I don't trust anyone, but I'm sure some agents use him to only spread info that benefits their client, even if it's not 100% accurate or doesn't provide full context, so even some of the info he gets can't be taken at 100% face value.

I only trust guys with buddies that know guys that they used to play with in junior that still hang out in sports bars.
I don't know why Sutter would be out and Erikson in? If JB doesn't offer to retain 2m of Erikson so that he only costs .5 in real dollars, well he's old man foolish.

The really annoying thing about Benning/Aquaman is that they seem to be really reluctant with retaining salary in deals. You think as a high revenue team they would want to take advantage of one of their competitive advantages, but they don't

This is completely unrelated to the possible OEL deal. I just can't remember a single time when Benning retained salary to make a deal happen. They never took on people's dead money to acquire draft picks either. They seem really reluctant to weaponize their cap space. I overall like Benning and what he's done.... but he really lacks creativity when working within cap and using all the tools at his disposal... and one of them is having an owner with deep pockets

Going off the media is where he heard the deal... take that for what it is.... they say Sutter is included but not Erikson.

I have to wonder why we wouldn't be trying to pawn off Erikson by weaponizing our cash compared to Arizona.

Heard you had a minor inconvenience yesterday that got your blood all hot and heavy, pm me the dets and try to keep composed cuz I'm cool as a cucumber.

Sharks also acquire Donato from Wild for a 3rd.
In the Dubnyk deal wild recieve a 5th, Sharks also get a 7th.

Like the Donato deal, but the Dubie deal seems dumb.
