So between myself and other reputable folks here are some names the Sabres have been tied to so far in some way:
Saad Hertl (Botterill-era) Schmaltz Hjalmarsson Georgiev Murray CBJ goalies Anderson Grzelcyk Palmieri Haula Kempny

Heard they like Sanderson's kid, isn't he a D man ? - SABRES 89
Yep and Yep, Adams was really talking up Sanderson on a recent WGR interview, saying he basically was their top Dman in the draft. New Rochester coach knows him well too from the USA program. I think he may go before Buffalo, but, if not, don't be surprised if he's our pick. A lot of people will freak out if we take a D or a G, and not a forward |

I still think they end up with Bobby Ryan - dadeadhead
If Philly doesn't want him, maybe |

6 more years of Schmaltz at 5.85 a year. Jesus Christ I don't feel good. - SABRES 89
His point totals for 5.8 million is awful.
Then look at the number of games he’s played each year. He’s always hurt
So this would be a terrible move. |

I mean, if he's their guy he's their guy.. Like Pach said a couple blogs ago, think about how much different we'd look with Sergechov instead of Nylander (Joki now, but you get the point) |

The Sabres are among a long list of teams that are interested in Columbus' goalies. Acquisition cost is the big question here.
The Blue Jackets need help at center, a position the Sabres are thin at. A bigger trade might make more sense for CBJ. - GilPerreault11
Looks like Friedman was right. Sabres are in fact interested in goalies

Kind of going off what I said earlier, I know we all want to lose Hutton yesterday, but Ullmark absolutely needs to be on the block if they can upgrade there.

Idk if you're looking at the wrong numbers. 50 points or 50 point paces for 5.85 is pretty standard these days. |

Yup, anyone should be fair game trade wise. Other than Eichel dahlin and cozens. (Possibly UPL too) |

Point pace means nothing if he is always hurt.
And yes, I am looking at point totals, games played, and goals.
He’s not worth 5.8 million. |

Yeah where are you seeing he's always hurt? By my brief look:
16/17 - Full season (61 NHL games/12 AHL games)
17/18 - 78 NHL games minimal games missed
18/19 - 40 NHL games (knee injury)
19/20 - 70 NHL games (full season, due to COVID)
So he's really only gotten hurt one season. |

Funny reading all these complaints on Schmaltz about his contract. But people on here are willing to go 7 to 7.5m for Rhino. And he plays with a elite Center |

Funny because Ellers on the 3rd line was a huge reason why Washington was able to plan a parade |
