Lehner 5x5 phew! good news for a easy Marky comparison.
- neem55

I’m figuring Marky comes in at 5/5.25m but he’s wanting an NMC I’m hearing. It could mean Demko could be gone as Lefty suggested & hopefully maybe to the Sens for their 5oa or a RHD from the Canes. Saves exposing him. Would mean a cheap back up is needed. I’d be ok with Lundqvist or Anderson or something like that.

It's 5:37 and I haven't smoked anything today so that's pretty close.

They should still be trying to build through the draft imo. When this team is truly Cup competitive in four years time, the only current players who’ll still be on the team are...

Hughes - 20
Pettersson - 21
Boeser - 23
Horvat - 25
Miller - 27

- Pacificgem

Thank gawd you are not the GM...analysis paralysis - instead of wait until next year it would be wait until four years from now.

They have Petey and Hughes...surround those two with players every year from now until they are 29. JB isn’t the smoothest operator but at least he gets that.

Tried my harvest for the first time today. Another week of curing but it's very encouraging so far.

His value would fetch a 2nd on an OS so assuming TB unloads say Killorn for cap to resign Sergachev & Cirelli is still not enough then to sign Cernak is even more yet. A 2nd & sweetener might do it.
- Nighthawk

Bolts just won a cup so Cernak value is at super premium it will be an over pay IF you could get him. AP probably signing with his Cup team but if not he also would be a big over pay and no indication he would choose Canucks. So your 2 big touted solutions are not likely scenarios. But I get the sentiment in wanting it.

Absolutely. This draft and wait approach is such a one dimensional one formula take. It is unrealistic in a fluid NHL with variable conditions. Got to have multiple approaches and constantly shifting gears to get ahead.

AP is only a dream with no cap for him.
TB is in a world of hurt for cap space.
Any team offering an OS for Cernak at 4.3m creates a problem if TB matchs. Where does the cap for Cirelli & Sergachev come from?

I'm guessing we will yield about 1 -1 1/2 lb.
We're pretty happy with the results of a random drop off. Looking at seeds for next year. Pick what I like and what's suitable for the conditions in our garden.

Canucks have more cap space for AP then Blues or Leafs but they will make room for him and he wants to be on one of them over going to Canucks. You'd have to spend silly Messier money as in overpay to get him to come here. That was the point on AP

As for Bolts they also will make room to keep their D by moving out forwards like they did with JTM. Now they got the Cup cache it will be even more of an overpay.

You know, in fourteen seasons Evgeni Malkin has only once had less points than number of games played, career 1.19 points per game played...God I hope Pettersson is that guy for us! We’ve never had an elite NHL center, which is probably why we’ve never won a Cup.

Henrik was great, but he wasn’t elite...

- Pacificgem

I say a ton of dumb stuff on here to stir the pot but wow. Henrik was the best player in the world for 2 or 3 years. He defined elite you jerkface. Yeah the jerkstore called.....
