Duchene is the same problem as Little. Signed for too long, and a shoot first puck carrier being paired with snipers
- Rexypoo

Agree!! Duchene has always been over hyped and over rated. He is now over paid.

I’d take the Montreal deal.
Whether I like them or not, great job pumping these out!!!!

- Ross77

Thank you Ross, that is very kind of you to say!

Apparently not, or did I miss the parade in 2018.
- BWJumper

You can thank Maurice for that. We had a stronger team than Vegas and Washington, but failed to adjust

If we can’t get Cirelli I’d way rather gourde. Just no to Johnson, not what we need at all!! Seriously Copp is a much better option at 2nd center than Tyler Johnson is
- Ross77

Copp is a better option than most of the suggested options

Common, you have to make our pick to! Can’t take three. lol

I’ll play along though;

1 - NYR - Lafreniere
2 - LA - Byfield
3 - OTT - Stutzl
4 - DET - Raymond
5 - OTT - Askarov
6 - ANA - Drysdale
7 - NJ - Holtz
8 - BUFF -Sanderson
9 - MINN - Lundell
10 -WPG - Rossi (now do I honestly think he falls to us, not really but here’s hoping!!!!)

- Ross77

Be nice if you were right about our pick.

No, I ended up taking RW Holtz for the #10 pick.

Askarov to the Sens with the number 5 pick would get the boys on TSN or Sportsnet talking. A possibility, but think they go with the C at #3 and D at #5. We'll soon see.

Johnson has not been good for a while, he is also now, only a winger and a small non physical one. He makes 5 million per for 3 or 4 more years. I say hard no!!!

NYR did not qualify Ryan Strome and if they can’t trade him (haven’t been able to yet) he may be worth a shot on a 1-2 year deal around 4 mil per. While hopefully our first round center in this years draft develops.

- Ross77

Johnson is a definite possibility, but like you say, may be in decline.

Didn't look as fast or shifty in playoffs as per usual. Injured? Or a wrong take by me?

Still may be worth a shot, but the four years is concerning. That's why TB would have to throw us a bone(s) like Cernak

Ross. I'd love for you to be right as getting Rossi would be a dream. BTW...where is Perfetti? I can certainly see him getting drafted ahead of Askarov, Holtz, Sanderson, and most certainly Lundell. I had Detroit taking him because of his ties to the Michigan area.

Rossi or Perfetti would be perfect at #10. My scouting report on Perfetti said he was skilled, not overly big, but very smart and great vision.
Not going to be Yzerman, but sounds like Yzerman, and guess who's picking for Det?

Detroit is not going to very good for a while, so is this where Askarov gets picked - a goalie in waiting a la Vasilevsky?

Okay, made your change to list - Perfetti at #8, Sanderson free agent.

LeBrun is saying that CBS, MON and PHIL are in on Laine.

Potential Laine trade to Montreal.

To MTL: Patrik Laine

To WPG: Nick Suzuki, Max Domi, Joel Armia, #16OA pick

Next up: Nashville

- TheUltimateJet

So, if the Laine trade might happen to be the Habs I could live with this or - Kotkamniemi, Domi, Armia and 16th pick. Or maybe Poehling instead of Armia? Did the Habs ever sign Cole Caufield? Anyone know?

Ideally the Habs would pre-trade for a RH d-man and he would be included instead of Armia, but only a decent one, not a 6th or 7th d-0man.

I could see one of Sanheim or Myers ( NOT GHOST!!!!), Patrick and then either their first rounder or Konectny. I'd love Konectny!!!!!!!! he would instantly be a fan favorite here.

Caufield has not yet been signed

I think Chevy is holding out for one of KK or Suzuki but its more likely to be Domi, 16th overall, Kulak or Mete, plus a another prospect like Fleury or Brooks. I'd still want more if the center is Domi, at least another 2nd rounder or a guy like Poehling.

My idea of trade with Phil is similar yours with a few quirlks.

My idea - Wpg sends Laine and Niku to Phil - for - P. Myers, N. Patrick, M. Frost, and 23rd pick. Now since Phil can't afford Laine cap wise, Phil would have to add a guy like Matt Niskanen. (who has a 10-team no-trade list)

I too would love Konency included but don't think that Philly would go along with that idea.

Yea, agreed! But don't want Mete. Really the speculated deal may hinge if KK or Suzuki is included.

Potential Laine trade to Pittsburgh. To be honest, the Penguins do not have much in the way of prospects or picks. The only trade that makes sense is the following:

To PIT: Patrik Laine

To WPG: Evgeni Malkin or Sidney Crosby

Potential Laine deal to Seattle.

To SEA: Patrik Laine

To WPG: Seattle's highest first round pick in 2021, an agreement to take the player that Winnipeg wants them to take, plus two players of Winnipeg's choosing that are left exposed during the expansion draft.

Next up: St. Louis
