So Murray is likely traded in the next 5 days. Ignoring what the return might be, where do you think he end up playing next year?

I'm going with:
1. Calgary
2. Buffalo
3. Toronto

Not that EK is EVER right but he has Dubynk going to San Jose. So, my guess is Billy G likes Murray. Who could the pens possibly looking at IF they make a trade with Minn?

Dubnyk to SJ makes no sense - a 34 year old goalie who just posted a .890. Also, Guerin reportedly prefers Jarry.

Edit: Friedman is also reporting Dubnyk to SJ, so that's probably where Ek heard it and it gives it more credence. It still makes no sense to me. I guess they feel they are an old reclamation project of a goalie away from a run.

Edit 2: Actually, Ek says he got this info from Friedman.

Thats not an EK rumor though, that is a TSN rumor so it could be legit. Makes zero sense for SJ, though it was mentioned Donato would be part of the deal so maybe they really like him?

The more teams in the market for goalies, the better. Even if he doesn't want Murray it takes competition off the market.

What is the logic for Buffalo? I think we'd be lucky just to get Miller for Murray and JJ. Is Miller considered so bad or so overpaid that he has negative trade value? If he has neutral value, then I think it's a fair trade for just Miller. Murray and JJ cancel each other out, IMO, if we're lucky enough that a team wants (or will take) both.

My logic is I have seen on multiple sites Mittelstadt rumored for Murray. Miller actually has worst offensive numbers than JJ and sadly he is an offensive defensemen. He was scratched by Buffalo for much of the season and actually played terrible on Buffalo. He was a whole different player on Vegas, but they used him in a different way. So my logic is 2 similar cap hit players who fell out of favor with each team being traded.

Also if Buffalo brought back every defenseman. As it stands on the recent depth chart. Miller and Jokiharju is their bottom pairing (with younger players pushing for time, but both are RHD). JJ could be a veteran bottom pairing LHD for that team. Especially since Miller has negative value for Buffalo and JJ has Negative value for us.

Ok, it just seems odd that they would give up a former 8th overall pick who is only 21 and plays center for so little. If they were offering this, I would accept it quickly before they had a chance to change their mind. I think they will want more, like maybe a 2nd or something.

Would you rather see Ruth sign Fleury or Lundqvist assuming one of them will be signed?🙆🏻‍♂️

Neither. Both will probably be too much money. They would also have to trade DeSmith. We don't even have Jarry or Murray signed and this question is being asked haha. Unless he trades both....but I'd keep Jarry. Murray just needs the change of scenery.

Potentially Simon could be added in the deal?
